Spectacular views of Honolulu/ Waikiki/Diamond Head are seen from this beachfront home, on Oahu's south shore. In the evening, you can view both the lights of the city and the stars in the sky with equal brightness from your private deck. Spectacular sunrises and sunsets are seen from our deck, near the water's edge. This downstairs 3 BR, 2 BA house called The Ewa Moon is located in the village of Ewa Beach. The master bedroom with attached bathroom has a Queen bed; the Blue Room has a Queen bed, and the Polynesian room has 2 twin beds.
The house with vintage Hawaiian decor and surrounding area have the feel of Old Hawaii and appear to have stood still in time. We are in an older family neighborhood and are respectful of our neighbors. Tall coconut trees sway in the breeze, as you stroll along the beach. Local fisherman cast off the shoreline and spear fish in the reef. A rare and endangered monk seal named Irma has frequented our beach. She is sleek and beautiful. Turtle sometimes appear in the waves in front of our house. Whales have been sighted in the distance in front of our house.
The home is decorated to reflect Hawaii of the 1940's and 1950's when tourists came on the Matson Cruise ships aboard the Lurline to the Aloha Tower. Furnishings include vintage Koa and rattan pieces. This is the first level of a two-story house. You occupy the first level, built recently while retaining the architecture of the original home. Your own entrance is through double French glass doors. You have a large covered veranda facing the water, perfect for soaking in the sounds and smells of the ocean as you sip your morning coffee or enjoy a leisurely meal.
The upstairs Hula Moon 3 BR, 2 BA has a large open balcony with expansive view of the ocean. Each unit rented separately or together for large groups. Each level is 1250 SF. Total 2500 SF. Since Feb 2013, we have added a German made motorized retractable awning on the upstairs balcony to enhance your enjoyment. .
Local children ride and frolic in the gentle waves. If you want a flavor of the real Hawaii, you have it here! You may be lucky enough to see an occasional luxury liner pull up in front of your house, sparkling with lights in the evenings to partake of the views you also enjoy. Turtles also frequent the area and you may catch glimpses of them close to shore. Ewa Beach has more sun than any other part of Oahu, and it's always warm!

You can fish from your front yard, sun on your sun deck, or have a picnic beneath your shade tree. You are three to five minutes from six golf courses, including the Hawaii Prince Golf Course! This getaway is ideal if you want to avoid mega resorts and tourist-ridden areas.
On the same property we have another house, right on the street side of the Ewa Moon and Hula Moon called the Blue Moon. It is 3 bedroom, 1 bath and is available for vacation rental for groups up to 6, including adults, children and infants. This would be ideal for larger groups up to 18 people, including adults, children and infants to rent the entire property. It is tastefully furnished with vintage pieces. The same group can rent both levels, up to maximum of 12 people, including adults, children and infants.
