Lovely 2 bedroom, 2 bath, beach home that is secluded and peaceful.

Our casa offers two spacious bedrooms each with their own private bath. Casa Tankah features a large open living area with a full kitchen. Two full size futons are in the living area, great for kids or an extra couple. We have a tv, with dvd player. There is also a c/d player & IPod dock provided for your listening pleasure. There is a dining room table that seats six for dinner or for playing games. There is also sitting for five at the kitchen counter when making those big omelette's for the family in the morning. Also, enjoy your coffee or cocktails along with your favorite book on our gorgeous thatch covered patio, or watch a beautiful sunrise from one of our hammocks. Casa Tankah is truly for the romantic or adventurer!!

Amenities: Bottled water, gas stove, gas refrigerator, toaster, coffeemaker, microwave and all linens as well as beach towels, coolers, TV/DVD , CD player, IPod dock, books, for adults and children, games for adults and children, outside shower, patio furniture, hammocks, 2 two person kayaks and oars, maid service twice during the weekly rental, (more available for minimal charge). Within walking distance of Casa Manatee and several restaurants. Tulum is a short 5 minute drive where grocery shopping, fresh vegetable stands, many more restaurants, Mayan ruins and many other attractions await you.

Things to do: Casa Tankah is a charming tropical oceanfront home, located 75 miles south of Cancun. A short stroll from the house there are several refreshing cenotes (fresh water sinkhole) and several restaurants. At the dive shop, (just a short stroll down the beach), you can rent all your snorkel equipment and extra kayaks, as well as set up your diving adventures with one of the 5 PADI certified instructors. Nearby attractions include: Tulum & Coba ruins, Xel-Ha lagoon, Puerto Adventuras, (for deep sea fishing & swimming with the dolphins), X-Caret and Playa Del Carmen, all which are a short drive from our house.

Escaping!!: Casa Tankah is ideal for those who want to escape the crowds and discover beautiful, peaceful Mexico. At Casa Tankah parakeets & Osprey fly overhead early in the morning and giant sea turtles come to nest. There are many wonderful treats along the corridor to explore. Great snorkeling, diving, fishing, kayaking and sightseeing, as well as shops and restaurants are just minutes away. Casa Tankah is the perfect place for a romantic get-away or an activity-packed adventure!

About Mary Prochaska

My husband & I live in Estes Park, Co. My husband owns an engineering firm and a construction company. I clean everything he builds and handle booking our Mexico house. We have 3 children and 3 grandchildren. We have lived in Estes Park for 27 years. We feel we have the best of both worlds, the mountains in Colorado and the ocean in Mexico!!

We chose to buy our home in Mexico after my husband & I went there for our honeymoon. Neither of us had been there before and instantly fell in love with the ocean, the sunshine and the people!! We were lucky enough to be at the right place, at the right time!

Wonderfully Relaxing! We would love to come back!

The house was just as the pictures described--the beach was wonderful and peaceful. We almost never saw anyone walking by, so it felt very private. One can walk along the beach for hours! Tulum is amazing and I really think we found the best location on the coast! The house was quite adequate for us, a bit rustic, but it had everything we needed, and we did not need "fancy" in Mexico, so we were happy and felt we could relax. It was windy, which was very nice--the temperature was perfect in late March! One week just is not enough. It was perfect for our family of 5! We would gladly come back but we would hope to stay for longer!
Recommended for:  Adventure Seekers, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Mary & Kerry,

We just wanted to thank you for sharing your home with us-it was perfect! We loved it and had a fabulous vacation! We snorkeled every day and the snorkeling in front of the casa was fantastic! We also loved snorkeling at Akamul (swimming with giant sea turtles!) and Yal-Ku lagoon was beautiful! We also went to many cenotes and loved them. There was too much cool stuff to mention it all! The house was in a great location and it was so peaceful sitting in front of the casa watching the waves lapping at the shore.
The place is perfect and well stocked! Thanks again. We hope to be back again and will most definitely let our friends know about your fabulous casa. Nicole & Ryan

Thank you for your note. Yes, it was wonderful! Your home and the location was the best.
You have decorated your home very lovely.

Most of the time we were outside under your patio because it was very pleasant and we could watch the kids snorkel.

We just made it back to Colorado, everything was fine it wasn't really busy, kind of nice not to have to fight crowds. Playa de Carmen was a little busier but not bad. We all had a great time. Thanks again and have a great summer.
