Just 3 blocks to Columbia Heights Metro (green and yellow line), 10 minutes ride to the city center, the National Mall and all museums, sightseeing.
Grocery stores (Target, Ginat Food), Gym, Starbucks and many restaurants (The Heights, Sticky Fingers, Red Rocks Pizza, Meridian Pint...), Tivoli Theater, DC USA Shopping Center: everything within two blocks from the apartment.

We enjoyed staying at this property. It is 2 blocks from the Metro, drug stores, restaurants, a grocery store and a Target store so it was very convenient for services and for getting around the city. The building is secure and well modernized. We would stay there again when we are in DC. We were in unit 22. It has an eat-in kitchen, large sunny room serving as a bedroom and living room, hall way closet and bath/shower.
Charming, quaint, and with an excellent location! My husband and I LOVED this little place! This is our new spot anytime we're in D.C.! We had easy access to public transportation and all the amenities necessary for a cozy stay! We'll be back!

This was a great location for my husband and I to see the sights of Washington DC. It is located in a great neighborhood, close to the Metro, and great places to eat. We did have several flights of stairs to navigate, but I had read other reviews so was aware of this. Great communication of the owners, too. We will definitely use this rental again when returning to the area.
The water pressure wasn't great in the shower but other than that there I was completely happy with my stay. I have already booked my next stay there. They property is close to everything one needs in DC.
My husband and I came to Washington, D.C. for a 12-day vacation and the studio apartment (#22) met almost all of our needs. The kitchen is extremely well equipped. We ate every breakfast at the apartment, as well as late-night snacks. There is a corner store one block away, but even better...a large supermarket three blocks away. They are both on the way to and from the Metro station. While we didn't cook any evening meals, we certainly could have with the equipment provided in the kitchen.
The bathroom is tiny...but totally workable. There is plenty of room to completely unpack, hang up clothes and just settle in for a nice stay. We used the laundry facilities twice. The entire building is well-maintained. Our apartment only had room for the two of us, but I understand that some of the others could accomodate a 3rd person.
The Columbia Heights neighborhood is extremely diverse and has obviously gone through revitalization during the last few years. It is definitely 'up and coming' with young professionals and we felt right at home with the mixed atmosphere of new and old.
The best part was the convenient Columia Heights Metro with is only 5 short blocks from the apartment. The Green/Yellow lines took us almost everywhere we wanted to go. And, for those few things which required transfer to another line, it was easy and quick to do. While our vacation unfortunately hit during the government shutdown, we were still able to fill our days with lots other activities including visits to Alexandria, Mt. Vernon, and Gettysburg.
We only had two negative comments. First, the apartment is equipped with air-conditioning/heating which operate via a remote. But, there was no information provided on how to work it...and the remote was tucked away in a drawer which we didn't know about until we searched for it. We were there during a hot spell and were dying in the apartment. Even once the remote was found, the air conditioning didn't work and the owners were fairly unresponsive to the problem. Finally, a repairman did come out. The problem...the battery in the remote was dead.
The second problem was the comfort of the bed. The fact that it was a king-sized bed had absolutely been the selling point in booking this apartment. But, we have never slept on a bed more uncomfortable. It was as if the mattresses were stuffed with stacks of newspaper. There was some give, but, for the most part, it was just too hard and creaked and crackled.
