Beautiful Sunny Studio, Residential Area, Just 5 Mins to Metro

Because of us being elderly, we did not realize the condo was on the third floor. They were very nice in accommodating us to the 2nd floor Studio #314198. We stayed our first day on the third floor and the rest of our 4 days on the 2nd floor. The place was very clean and comfortable. The bath tubs do need bars and a rubber mat for safety reasons. They did provide a space for us to park our rental car. The neighborhood was well lighted and close to lots of restaurants, a grocery store and the metro. 14th Street is just one block away and it takes you all the way downtown and back.

The listing and photos are accurate and the location to Metro and bus is excellent! The property was clean and well maintained. The decor is not fancy and the curtains in one room were stained, but everything was clean and adequate. The maintenance staff were prompt in resetting the Cable TV so that we could operate it. The owner was very helpful and allowed us to park our rental car for 2 nights for free. For Sunday Brunch - Busboys and Poets, a restaurant north of U Street. The apartment suited our needs perfectly-no frills, but clean and functional. We noted a leak above the shower in the bathroom the day we were leaving and advised the owners. Great location for people on a budget!

This really is the perfect place. Easy accessibility to shopping for food or sundries, close to metro and bus, clean, safe, everything is as described by Janek. We stayed a full week and never felt anything but secure. The building is clean and perfectly roomy. This apt works perfectly for two adults and could work for a family with one child. The neighborhood is a perfect mixture of chain restaurants and more interesting local fare. You can go one subway stop to U Street and find great Ethiopian, Soul or a number of other ethnic choices to eat. A real Chinatown is just a few metro stops away by the arena.

Jarek was helpful and accommodating. The facilities were good: it was possible to not only store leftovers in the kitchen but also cook if you were so inclined. The laundry downstairs in the bldg was free and had soap and everything necessary so we could pack light and do laundry mid-stay. It really helped to have those this available to cut back on the cost of traveling. Plus Jarek provided info about neighborhood places in advance so we knew what we could get close to home.

Our trip was great and this place was PERFECT. Price is PERFECT too!
