Coyote Cabin is nestled in the woods just minutes from Blackhawk and Central City and is uniquely designed to maximize comfort and views of the Rocky Mountains. Built in 1999, Coyote Cabin soars above the forest providing spectacular panoramic views of the snow-capped Continental Divide and surrounding forest. Cathedral windows, a 900 foot red wood deck and loft with deck feature unbelievable views, yet there are no visible neighbors. At an elevation of 9000 feet, Aspen trees abound and wildlife such as bears, deer, elk, mountain loins and yes, coyotes, are seen. This was our second time staying in the cabin and it was great. As soon as we got into Denver it was snowing and the kids had a great time playing in the snow. Copper Mountain was a quick trip so the kids could go tubing. With so much nearby, great views from the house and a very nice and clean house to stay in, we will be back again!! We would definitely recommend this wonderful place to everyone! Thank you!!
Owner's Response: Your timing was perfect for winter activities, glad you had a great time!
Thanks for your wonderful comments.

This house has plenty of room and all the necessities. Our group contained all adults and we were all able to have our own space as well as enjoy the living room, loft area and dining/kitchen as common space. Three bathrooms was a definite plus. The decks are wonderful and have a great view. We took advantage of the pool table and grill as well. The location was close to Black Hawk and the community center, which we did use to swim and exercise. Having internet access was also a plus. Would definitely stay again. We really enjoyed our stay.

Coyote Cabin is an incredible paradise tucked into
the woods with all the modern comforts of home.
It's very hard to pick a favorite part of the house
but the loft gets my vote. The views are
spectacular!!!! My other favorite part of the house
were all the gorgeous little lighted houses gathered
above the kitchen. The house seemed to be our
home!
Owner's Response: You were a great guest Kelly, and very brave to sleep on the deck with all the critters! Thanks for your comments. Jeff and Dawn Kelley

July 1st to 8th, 2008. What a wonderful vacation! We took our best friends from England, their daughter and our three daughters and couldn't have wished for a better place to make great memories. The cabin was awesome and centrally located to enable us to take day trips. We went white water rafting in Idaho Springs, shopping in Breckenridge. We went to Manitou Springs and up in the cog railway, spent a day shopping in Estes Park (can you tell we've got teenage girls) returning over Fall River Road through the Rocky Mountain National Park, and finished up on our last day with a trail ride at Sundance Stables in Nederland. We also watched the most fantastic fireworks display in Black Hawk on July 4th which is pretty funny for a load of Brits! All in all, we had the perfect mix of relaxation and fun activities. But some of the most precious memories were sitting on the deck drinking tea (hot of course),with our friends, feeding the resident chipmunk with cereal and soaking up the unbelievable mountain views. Thank you, Jeff and Dawn for sharing your home. We had the BEST time.
Owner's Response: Thanks for the rave review Davina and family! Please come back for another holiday visit soon. Jeff and Dawn

This was our first time staying at the cabin and I must say it was an outstanding experience. I would rate the cabin and amenities (5)out(5) stars! However a "HOT TUB" would have put it over the top. Me and my family could not believe the views looking over the mountains, I took more pictures than I ever have in my life. I discovered you can not take a bad photo with these views. The other nice aspect was dealing with Jeff Kelley, he was the perfect host and made the reservation process a no hasele experience, easier than ordering a pizza. He also stayed in contact with us during our stay, keeping a close watch on the weather and had people and equipment on standby. I would highly recommend this mountain retreat to everyone, but at the same time I also want to keep it a secret place, as anyone who has stayed there would understand.
Owner's Response: Thanks Mike, we are glad you had a great time and had plenty of snow. It sounds like your vacation was a success, and we are glad you stayed at the Coyote Cabin.
