Fall in love with Union Pier, Michigan when you stay in this charming cottage located across the street from Lake Michigan. Completely renovated with hardwood floors, big kitchen, vaulted ceilings and skylight, as well as a new spacious screened-in porch for entertaining and large deck for grilling.. The cottage includes 2 bedrooms, as well as a full-size sofa bed. One bedroom has a queen-size bed, and the other bedroom has two twin beds. The quaint, private setting is perfect for a weekend getaway or week-long beach escape.

Amenities:
Completely gutted and remodeled in 2004! The cottage includes a remodeled bathroom, new washer/dryer, updated kitchen with new stove, dishwasher and refrigerator and microwave and George Foreman grill. Other amenities include two televisions, a DVD player and VCR, stereo, alarm clock, screened-in porch and barbecue area. We also have an assortment of games -- Scrabble, checkers, Taboo -- as well as a variety of fiction and nonfiction books.


Activities:
Across the street from Lake Michigan, with opportunities for swimming, boating and bicycling. A short drive or bike ride to grocery stores, bakery, ice cream parlor and marina. Minutes to upscale and casual dining, antique shops, wineries and Michigan City outlet mall!
Area:
Union Pier is located just 5 minutes from New Buffalo, MI and 15 minutes to Michigan City, which offers the outlet mall, zoo and casino. Just 80 miles from Chicago.

We had a wonderful week staying at this cottage. It had everything we needed. Now even a deck has been added.
We spent many hours on the screened in porch and visiting the lake.
Of all areas of the US I have visited, this is by far my favorite. Can't wait to return in the spring.

What a wonderful week we enjoyed! The homey and clean cottage helped to make our visit all the more delightful. From the morning coffee on the screened-in porch to the evening sunsets on the lake, all was true heaven-on-earth...An expected fun touch -- there was even a garage sale held across the street! What a great way to get to talk to the friendly folks in the neighborhood! We felt sad to have to pack up and leave at week's end...This little place is a home-away-from-home loaded with tons of appeal for all of those who are lucky enough to inhabit it!
