Located in the fashionable Hoxton/Shoreditch area, this cool-style London apartment makes a perfect spot to explore London.

It has 2 excellent large and clean double bedrooms, a modern bathroom with bath and power shower and a superb modern fully fitted kitchen and an incredible private outdoor balcony.

Old Street underground train station is a short walk away. Red double decker buses to St Paul’s Cathedral, Covent Garden (shopping and theatre), Waterloo (London Eye), Westminster (Houses of Parliament) and London Bridge (Tower of London & Tower Bridge) all depart 200 yards from the apartment building entrance every 3-4 minutes. Hailing a London black cab outside the building is just as easy.

The Master Bedroom and the Guest Bedroom both feature a truly superb and comfortable double bed with an excellent memory foam mattress and the finest of crisp clean linens ensuring a wonderful nights sleep. All rooms in the apartment have commanding views of the canal. The master bedroom also has the added flexibility of having an inflatable single mattress made up for a young adult if required.

The Bathroom has been designed with beautiful clean limestone tiles on the floor and around the bath/shower area.

Off the sitting room is a wonderful sheltered and protected outdoor balcony with comfortable and relaxing outdoor furniture directly overlooking the Regent’s Canal.

Within the building complex there is a Health & Fitness centre, which for a small fee offers a fully equipped managed gym complete with a full range of beauty/spa treatments.

About The Owner

Working in the financial markets in the City of London, I bought this apartment in 2001 as it was one of the highest quality apartment buildings in a great location that has stood the test of time. I wanted a place that enabled me to walk to work, or a short cab ride home. I travel a great deal and to have a building with 24 hour porterage was essential to ensure safety and security while I was away. With a great waterside view and offering such a sense of space, when an opportunity arose to buy a larger loft in Shoreditch, this apartment was just too good to let go. I love the area and still live, work and socialise here.

Hoxton & Shoreditch is such a vibrant neighbourhood, crammed full of exciting bars, amazing restaurants, cool galleries, vintage boutique shops and is complete with a very cool vibe. There are plenty of live music venues, specialist lighting, clothing, book and furniture shops. There are cutting edge hairdressers, live comedy shows, parks and squares to hang out in. It is a neighbourhood with photographers, designers, artist galleries, loft apartments, juice bars and just so much more for any visitor to handle! Staying at my apartment offers you the opportunity to live in a very cool and hip neighbour that just doesn't stand still. If you are creative and enjoy being part of a vibe that is away from the common and popular regular tourist traps - but close enough to visit them, take the photo and tick the box, then this is the perfect spot for you!

With my personal created walking tour guides that will be waiting for you in the apartment, you cannot fail but to make the most of what the area has to offer - and it is huge!

What makes this apartment unique

After a busy day exploring just how cool and trendy the area is, it is a wonderful to return home, sitting on the balcony with a refreshing drink, watching Londoners go about their everyday business on and along the Regent's Canal from a private and secluded spot. If you enjoy jogging, you can jog for miles and miles along the waters edge, not crossing any roads and avoiding all the traffic. The apartment is located in a very happening and creative area with so much to offer to all tastes.

"Fantastic place and a fantastic host "

Excellent stay !!!!!! The appartment is well designed and equipped, its location is perfect , in a quiet location and has nice views to the river .

The appartment is kept tidy and clean and Peter was extremely helpful with sightseeing tips, restaurant recommendations on his welcome .

We are considering a return very soon!

Comfort and Convenience

Our family of three, two adults and one teenager stayed in this fantastic apartment for 8 nights. The location is superb as it is close to public transportation (easy access to the tube and trains via bus), food markets and restaurants. Our entire visit we never needed to use a cab and we visited many attractions all over the city.

The flat is perfectly outfitted for a home away from home and exceptionally clean and well maintained. We will definitely stay here again if we have the good fortune to visit London in the future.

London luxury flat, Waterside views

The flat served the five of us very well (3 adults and 2 children) and we found it very convenient getting to the tourist attractions via the buses and the tube nearby. It was very clean and had everything we needed to cook and relax in the living room or on the balcony. Peter was very helpful in getting us familiar with how everything worked and how to get around. We had a very pleasant stay and would recommend it highly.

Fantastic Home Away from Home in London

This flat provided everything we hoped for ( and More) when we arrived.

The Gainsborough was convenient to all methods of public transportation, which allowed us to move about the city easily. There were a couple of markets where we could purchase groceries and many restaurants within walking distance. The flat itself was outfitted with everything we needed from champagne flutes, a full compliment of pots and pans and dishwasher to a hair dryer, curling iron and washing machine and many thing in between. The beds were extremely comfortable and had high quality sheets and bedding. We enjoyed the views from the windows of the flat, too. There is an interesting head sculpture in the courtyard which the master bedroom overlooks and I made certain that the blinds were open before we left in the morning so that is was one of the first things I viewed when we returned. It just always made me smile. In addition, from the dining table one is able to watch people walking and cycling along the canal that is right outside the flat. I enjoyed seeing that as it was such a great slice of London life and not at all touristy. Lots of parents taking kids to school, professionals riding bikes to work and then on the weekend people just taking a walk.

Finally, I would be remiss if I didn't mention how wonderful Peter was to work with. He responded to emails quickly and when I left my phone in Roberto's car (he works with Peter and provides private car service to and from LHR, well worth the expense if there is more than one person or if you are arriving jet lagged), he had my phone back to me within a half hour. Really amazing. Thank you Roberto and Peter! If we ever return to London we will definitely stay in this apartment.

My wife and 25 year old son stayed for 10 days in this flat. It was so much better than staying in a hotel room. We had room to move around and have our own space. The flat was excellent, very clean, and had everything we needed. We could hop on a bus just outside the flat and a short walk to the underground. So it was very convenient to get to the sights of London. Peter was extremely helpful with recommendations on where to go, how to get there, and where to eat and drink (would recommend going to Hoxton Square which is a short walk away). A nice added bonus was he provided Oyster cards for each of us which made using the buses and underground very easy. Roberto picked us up and dropped us off at the airport, this was huge. Trying to fight with the luggage on trains and taxi's would not of been fun. Overall, I have nothing but positive things to say about the flat and would highly recommend staying here and will do so if we return to London. Also, the pictures on the website depict the flat very well.

Great stay in London

My husband and I had a terrific 10 day stay. The location in East London was the best, buses right outside, short walk to tube and great restaurants. Peter was always available to answer questions and even had the flat cleaned and linens changed half way through our visit. We look forward to staying in warmer weather when we can enjoy sitting on the balcony and watching the activity on the canal.
