The master bedroom features skylights, private bath with Jacuzzi tub and an adjacent office with single hideaway bed. Guest area includes 2 bedrooms, full bath and laundry. Warm, friendly setting, features: fireplace/ wood, books, electric piano, game closet, card table, short walk or car access to beach, Surf and rock fishing, tide pooling, shell collecting. During winter, the Mendocino Coast is treated to nature's great show of gray whales completing their 10,000-mile trip from Alaska to Baja, Calif. The Beach house, situated on a bluff, offers great view of their ocean route. Coastal storms are another great show. guests need not be deterred by rain, as the cozy round fireplace, shelves of great books and panoramic views provide a safe and snug viewing hideaway. Spring/Summer features wildflowers, hiking trails and tidepooling. Catch and release trout pond and picnic area is short walk. A well-stocked general store is located 3 miles south in Manchester and there is a small store in Elk to the north. Elk also offers a pub and restaurants. The village of Mendocino to the North and Gualala to the South provide art galleries, fine dining and more.

Had a wonderful relaxing time. Everything as described. Had to drive to beach because of long steep hills but no problem. The beach was wonderful and enjoyed looking in tide pools after high tide. A seal that showed up on beach was fun to watch. Highly recommended.
