Why The Owner chose Telluride
I found the perfect site for an earth sheltered solar home and ranch near a great ski area and there has been a good rental market for the house I live in.
What makes this house unique
I can view wildlife daily; elk, deer, beaver, ducks, geese, coyotes and sometimes bears etc. I get 8 1/2 hrs of sun on Winter Solstice, I have spring water from the tap. I have comfortable furniture and beds. There is very little road traffic. It is extremely quite here. The atmosphere is unpolluted and pristine. The star viewing is great. It is only a 20 minute drive to Telluride and skiing and great restaurants. I have access to the National Forest and Wilderness Primitive area. I have three main fenced areas for my horses and 5 water rights with great irrigation. I manage 600 acres for a cattle operation. I have a greenhouse with lawn, herbs and tropical plants year round. I have the best access on the most scenic roads in the state. The view in all directions is spectacular. I have high definition tv and internet, cell phone and land line. I can soak in my Hot Spring Spa while viewing 14,017 ft Wilson Peak or the star show at night.
