One of the original Santa Fe families, the Sena's, built this guest house on their property less than 10 years ago to house friends and family visiting from out of town. It sits on the spot where the 'Sena's Play House' once was used as the children's hidewaway. This casita was designed with visitors and warmth in mind.

The adobe casita is both in the heart of Santa Fe and a million miles away. The private drive way to the back takes you away from the street, yet it is only 4 houses from Don Gaspar, a landmark north south street that ends 1 block from the plaza. The front door is located behind a walled patio, providing immediate privacy and security as well as an additional place to rest and relax. You enter into a large living area complete with Spanish tile, historic pictures on the wall and a fireplace.. Radiant heat throughout keeps the house evenly toasty in the winter and the tile floors and adobe walls keep it cool in the summer. The fully equipped kitchen, just in case you need more than a blender (ha ha), opens into the living room..

Adjoining the living room is a full bath and bedroom with a walk in closet, two dressers and a desk. Full size sliding glass doors allow the afternoon sun to bask the room in that famous southwest sunshine. From there, you step out onto a small patio with a lounger, table, and view of the back yard.

For those with a reunion, large family or special occasion in mind, there is a larger 2 master bedroom house, (equipped with a Sauna and Sunroom off the bedroom) on the same property, also for rent by the same owners! Please contact us for more information regarding this property.

We can't promise you a visit from Amalia Sena, the First Santa Fe Fiesta Queen, just the tradition of hospitality that her children and grandchildren were taught from a very early age!

La Casita Sena is an absolute doll-house. Its location behind a main-house in a great neighborhood makes it safe, secure and so nice and quiet! It is physically located near the heart of Santa Fe and is convenient for everything. The house is wonderfully furnished and well-maintained. We stayed for a week and enjoyed the native food (highly recommend the Shed, Maria's, and Lota-Burger), loved touring/shopping in the historic downtown, and even had some great fun at some local night spots (go to Evangelo's and Tiny's)! The Sena family, and their property manager (Penny) are honest people and a pleasure to deal with. After our recent pleasant experience my wife and I are planning to make a stay at La Casita Sena an annual experience. But there are plenty more weeks in the year for others to enjoy this enchanted place which we recommend whole-heartedly!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Adventure Seekers, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway

Thanks for being so accommodating. I love mountains and spent alot of time hiking this summer.
This is a great location. I'll be back next summer. Please keep me in mind.
