Photos and Description of the Grayling vacation cabin rental Recently Restored Log Cabin w/2 bedrooms/1 bath.

This single story log-cabin has 1200 + square foot of living area. It is located on the flies only section of the Manistee between M-72 and the CCC bridge. During August of 2005 it was completely restored to its original log color, the roof was replaced and the dining area was expanded. The cabin sleeps 6 to 8 people in 2 separate sleeping areas. There is a queen sized bed in master bedroom and 2 full sized beds in the second sleeping area. An accordion pull-across can be used to further separate the second sleeping area into a third separate room. A pull out couch in the living room provides sleeping for 2 additional people or more separated sleeping arrangements if required. There is a large living room with wood burning stove (plenty of fire wood is at hand) and large picture window facing the river. There is a propane furnace for those who don’t want to use wood. The cabin offers an adequate kitchen (galley type) and expanded dining area which seats 8 comfortably.

Nearest Motorway: M-72 and north/south M-127and I-75 at 15 Miles
Car: necessary
Fly fishing on the flies only section of the world famous Manistee River between M-72 and the CCC bridge in Kalkaska county. The Ausable river is within 20 minutes for additional fly fishing opportunities. Five 18 hole golf courses withing 40 minutes, many more within an hours drive. For security reasons, we cannot provide the address or exact location of the property until a deposit is made.

Additional information about rental rates

  • $140.00 per night. Minimum 2 night stay required. Please request rate for holiday weekends.
  • A security deposit of $100.00 is required to hold reservation. Total rental fee/+ deposit is due 14 days prior to occupancy, (unless other arrangements are made) this allows us time to send directions and a key. $70.00 of security deposit is non-refundable cleaning/inspection fee, remaining amount to be refunded within 2 weeks or immediately upon inspection. Payment in cash or money order. The full deposit/rental fee is refundable only if plans are canceled 10 days prior to planned arrival. We are normally flexible with check-in/check-out times. Friday afternoon to Sunday 2pm is considered a 2 day/night rental. Until confirmed, rates are subject to change without notice. Renters must be a minimum 25 years of age, unless accompanied by an adult guardian. Two day minimum stay required. We now can send you an email invoice if you wish to pay with a credit card through PayPal. Use of PayPal requires a fee.

  • Holiday days and weeks that include holidays are $150.00 per night with 2 night minimum stay required. Sorry, cabin is unavailable from Nov. 1st. through April 30th.
