I have been an owner in the building for over 15 years.
And I am on the board or directors that manages the building as well.
The Owner purchased this apartment in 2009
I have know and lived in Paris for over 25 years, an I believe this is one of the best places to call home, weather on just a visit or full time.
Perfectly located to get to all of Paris
We spent 3 nights in this apartment and loved it! Everything was as described--actually better than described! Good location--in walking distance to many things. My daughters loved the croissants from the little bakery across the street! Beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower from the terrace. The apartment is very spacious and has all the amenities you could want. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend it!
We just arrived and are so very pleased with the apartment! Maria greeted us with a smile and was so very helpful!
This is a perfect place for any family or group to call home base in Paris, France.
Thank you very much!
We spent a month in Johno's lovely Paris apartment. It was perfectly located and from the moment we arrived we felt welcome and at home. Maria was a delight as she showed us through the apartment and although she spoke very little English, we communicated with ease. Everything was as described and depicted and in fact it was even better. This was the first of our apartments we would rent over our two month stay in Europe and it was by far the largest, most comfortable and well equipped. It was much more spacious than we had expected and very accomodating for two adult couples. The master bedroom was wonderful complete with a king bed that was adjustable with a flat screen TV on the wall at the foot of the bed. You wanted to sit in bed and drink coffee all morning! But there was too much to see just outside your door.
We loved the location in a living and working neighborhood not in a tourist type location. We made friends with so many shop owners and folks in the market. The rue St. Charles Market is on Tuesdays and Fridays and is simply great. Loved fresh roses for our home weekly (thanks for having vases in the apartment).
The Metro, bus and taxi stand are just outside your door and they made for easy travel. We became friends with the staff at Bistro Linois as this became our favorite neighborhood rendezvous. There is much wonderful food in an easy walk from the apartment.
Warm summer evenings on the terrace with dinner and wine shared with friends made for the perfect ending to so many days in Paris. The views of the sunset and the twinkling lights of the Eiffel Tour are unforgettable.
Thank you, Johno for making all our plans easy and for a perfect stay in your lovely Paris home. Yes, we hope to return and have recommended your apartment to our friends.
We stayed a month at this perfectly located and perfectly appointed apartment in Paris 15th Arr. There are simply no negatives to this rental. The prices are fair, there is plenty of room for four people and it's modern, light and airy and clean. The furnishings, appliances, linens and bathroom fixtures were all of very high quality and well maintained. Unusual for an apartment was the very large bedroom closets and storage. We had no problem unpacking everything we brought and hanging the items up or putting them in drawers or on shelves. Cable TV, Telephone and WiFi were all included and all worked very well. The view of the Eiffel Tower is an added bonus. The 6 foot square office nook whigh contained a desk, cabinet and under counter wine refrigerator, gave us a space to work on our laptop, write postcards, edit and sort our photos without having to move them several times a day from the dining room table where we normally do such tasks. Everything needed to cook a meal or prepare a snack was there, including condiments and spices. We just needed to add the fresh ingredients and replace the items we used a lot of. If needed, a parking space comes with the rental at no extra charge.
The neighborhood was also a delight. Within two blocks there was a brand new, multi story, multi building shopping center, a large grocery, at least a dozen restaurants, plus boulangeries, butcher shops, wine stores, vegetable markets, candy stores, etc. And to leave the neighborhood, bus 42, right outside the front door, hits most of the major locations in Paris. About 30 meters from the front door is a stop for the Metro 10 line. You can get almost anywhere in Paris with one transfer in less than 30 minutes.
I can't imagine anyone would not be pleased if renting this unit.
Three of us rented this apartment for a month earlier this summer. The unit was more spacious than we expected it to be. The last week there were four of us and everyone slept comfortably. The balcony with the view of the Eiffel Tower is wonderful. We were fortunate enough to be there for the 14th of July so we had a ring side seat for the most amazing fireworks display.
The kitchen appliances are very nice. There is no ice maker but we left ice trays. There is an ample number of dishes, glasses and cutlery of good quality.
There is a full bath with shower plus a powder room. Water pressure in the shower is very good. The stall itself is elevated and may be a little challenging if anyone has any mobility issues. There are ample linens of good quality. The washing machine is different from US models but works very well for small loads. We never did master the drying cycle but items including towels dried quickly-always by overnight.
We particularly enjoyed the location which is very convenient for accessing all of the city. There is a bus stop for Bus 42 practically at the front door. A few steps more takes you to the metro station and across the street from that is a taxi stand. At the other end of rue St. Charles is a street of wonderful food stores, restaurants and markets. There is also a street market in that area on Tuesdays and Fridays. There is also a Monoprix just down the street. There are several ethnic restaurants right across the street as well as the new and large Beaugrenelle Shopping complex a few blocks away. There is a movie theatre there that shows English language films.
Maria, the Guardien of the building, is a ball of energy and was extremely helpful. Even though she does not speak English and we did not speak French we were able to communicate. She was very thoughtful and attentive. Johno was a joy to work with in making arrangements.
The entire apartment was air conditioned with a modern, well functioning system. On most days there is a very good cross breeze.
We were quite satisfied and I would not hesitate to use this apartment again.
We were so pleased with the apartment. Not only is it spacious and immaculate, but the location is priceless. We walked to the Eiffel Tower a few times and the Metro stop is right around the corner. We saw all of Paris in 4 days. The local eateries were great!! The darling little pizza place across the street was great and the open market down the street was also fun. Anything you could possibly want is right there. Johno….you are the BEST!!!! Maria is so darned sweet as well. Couldn't have asked for better people to work with. If ever in Paris, THIS IS THE PLACE TO STAY!!!! The outdoor veranda with the tinkling lights of the Eiffel Tower at night is a Must see. We will be back for sure. LOVED IT!!!!!
Metro 35 Meters, Bus 10 Meters, Taxi Stand 120 yards. Small super market 25 meters, large supermarket 300 meters, Cafe and Top 10 Bread/Boulangerie in Paris 15 meters.
