Little slice of heaven

We were thrilled to find that we truly had booked such a luxury condo. The owners have done a beautiful job of maintaining the property. We had some issues with the resort services (the spa services aren't worth the money, housekeeping took our pool towels ($30 per towel) on 3 occasions and maintainance was incredibly slow), but for the most part, we truly loved our week at the Villa La Estancia and I think this property is one of the finest at the resort.
It would be nice to go to a resort and NOT have to do the Time Share thing. I was hoping that with the La Estancia, being such a luxury resort, would not submit it's guest to that torture, but it's Mexico, there is no way around it.
The food and drinks at the resort are spendy, but for 2 dollars per person, you can take a taxi to the City Club($2 membership) or Costco($50 membership) and buy groceries at VERY reasonable prices. Prices aren't exactly what the locals pay, but it's reasonable. When you check in to the resort, they will tell you that you can't bring a cooler to the pool area, but we had our family with, so we did and were never bothered about it. Just pack a soft-sider that does not look like a cooler.
If you are thinking about a Cabo vacation, do not hesitate to rent this property....perhaps not during spring break (which is when we were there), but it is definitely top quality!
