Enjoy a retreat at the beautiful northern Oregon coast. Surrounded by Oswald West State Park, Falcon Cove is a hide-a-way with an elk herd, coyote, falcons and eagles. The house is five years old and tastefully decorated with vintage furniture, original art, wool carpets and a spiral stair. Tucked into the forest, it has a view of the ocean less than 3 blocks away. Open windows to hear the sound of waves! Beach Access is an easy few minutes walk by road or on a private trail through the woods.
We consider this our personal retreat. The house was designed for multi-generational use. It has a great living/dining room with lots of windows and an open kitchen. Modern woodstove with visible fire in living room (wood is provided). Sleep on the extra large window seats and wake to a view of the forest! Master Bedroom, two bathrooms and laundry on main floor. A spiral stair leads to a large loft with skylights with views of trees and stars. The basement holds a ping-pong table and a fold out couch, the TV, and more windows. It is a wonderful place to be alone or share with your family. Lots of toys and a super swing outside for children of all ages!
In order to really enjoy the coast, we have chosen NOT to have internet, phone or cable. Instead, this is a real retreat. Hike through Old Growth Douglas Fir to watch for whales on Cape Falcon, walk the volatile rocky beach, catch the sand at low tide and search for mussels. Look for birds and elk. Falcon Cove is near Short Sands Beach which has the best surfing in the area. Go clamming and crabbing nearby. Manzanita and Cannon Beach both have shops to explore. Kayak in nearby Nehalem Bay or hike to the top of Neahkahnie Mountain. Take a vacation!
If it is raining, play games or ping pong, cook food, make magnetic poetry, enjoy the movie selections. Snuggle next to the wood stove with a glass of wine, read a book, do yoga, dance...
Relax! Breathe. This is the Oregon Coast.
In case you have allergies, this house is dog friendly!

We have owned this property for years and just recently built this house. Falcon Cove is so wild and private. It is a special place.
Privacy; quiet; a warm, cozy, beautiful home nestled in the woods; elk passing by, ferns that almost tower over you, eagles and ravens and owls in the trees, stars at night, the sounds of frogs and waves, did I say privacy?
The house is close to the Oregon Coast Trail that leads through Oswald West to Cape Falcon
