Our central location makes it easy to move around Kona, as downtown, Located between Ali'l Drive and the Queen K Highway, Walmart, Target and Safeway are only 2 miles north. Avoid the long winding roads of driving up the hills of Kona and save hours of unnecessary time in the car! The popular Magic Sands Beach is only 5 minutes away and Kahaluu (Snorkel) Beach Park is 2 miles south. Our home is located in a quiet residential area on a street that ends in a cul-de-sac, which keep the thru traffic at a minimum. The privacy from neighbors is very good, especially in the pool area.

Expansion Room for 8 more people: We have added our garden level expansion area which will allows for 4 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom. Please note this level will not be rented separate from the home, so if you are considering renting just the main level, there will be no one else utilizing the property when you are there!

It was a well conceived floorplan that I was able to improve upon for the past 15 years. The total improvement budget for this home during the past 15 years is over $500,000!
I had to cancel our reservation with Bruce Milliken yesterday and was very very pleased with the promptness of our refund and no questions asked policy. I would highly recommend all dealings with this property.
Our stay in your home met and exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect, for easy access to the main highway as well as much needed grocery shopping when feeding up to 14 people daily. All our children were so pleased to have their own rooms. My Mom who is 87 had her own room as well where she could rest between activities. We enjoyed many of the beaches from the south end, Green Sand Beach to the North end at Hapuna Beach and never felt overcrowded even though it was the busiest time of the year. A trip to the Volcano interpretive centre was a highlight as well.
There are many other places and activities we were not able to fit into our schedule which we will have to enjoy on our next trip to the island.
Returning to your welcoming house each day was also a highlight and we will highly recommend it to anyone wanting to enjoy the island in comfort and luxury.

This was our 2nd stay at Komohana House, and it was every bit as fabulous as the first! We had 6 adults and 2 kids, with plenty of room to spare! This house is so well equipped with everything you need to be comfortable for your stay. We cooked and grilled most of our meals at the house and enjoyed eating on the pool deck! Plenty of parking for rental cars, a huge living room with plenty of seating to enjoy movies or board games in the evenings, and amazing pool to relax by and soak up the sun! The sunset from the front lanai is unbeatable! Bruce (the owner) and Debbie and Jim (property caretakers) are a pleasure to work with, they will do everything they can to help make your stay as stress-free as possible. I recommend this property to any group, big or small, you won't regret it. We are already looking forward to our next stay!
This property was perfect for our family of 11 to vacation on this amazing island. The house had everything you could have possibly wanted and more. They had a good selection of beach and snorkelling supplies so you didn't have to buy anything. The house was well taken care of and had lots extra's. Bruce and Debbie were always available to answer any questions we had. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a home base not just a place to stay!
Th location and the home was very spacious die our family. Ou grandchildren loves the pool and the large amount of pool toys that were available.

I have fallen in love with Kona and this property!
Komohana could not be more perfect for our stay on the Big Island. It had all the comforts of home and then some. It is a gorgeous property inside and out that can accommodate small to a very large group comfortably. The views out the back Lani are breathtaking. The Kitchen is a chefs dream and is totally new and updated.
We were 5 to 10 minutes from everything that we wanted to do. The pier area is minutes away and offers beaches, restaurants and shopping. There are the most beautiful state beaches that you could ask for anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes away.
I will come back to this property year after year! It is a treasure that I am sure you will glad you found!
Easy access to Komohana!!! Location is 2 miles south of Kona Village, 2 block west of the Queen K Highway. Easy access to all areas surrounding Kona. You can get down to the village via Kuikini Drive within 5 min!!!
