We stayed at Falling Rock Lodge for a week, 6/30-7/7/12, and had a fantastic stay! The accommodations were gorgeous, clean and the view was breathtaking. We had all of the conveniences, and then some – hot tub, multiple fire places, etc… that we needed to be there for a week yet were far enough away that it was definitely a relaxing vacation. Brian, the owner, went above and beyond in responding to requests and inquiries beforehand and it was great to meet him during our stay. I will be highly recommending Falling Rock to family and friends looking for a great mountain getaway.
We had a wonderful time even though it rained every day while we were there. The beauty of the clouds rolling in was a majestic scene as it varied continually. Because of the height of this home in the mountains we had unbelievable views not only of these cloud formations but of the mountain tops and valleys! And, yes, one sunset that was glorious. The home is well equipped and we did spend a lot of time in it because of the weather. We were four adults and found it most relaxing. Even enjoyed the outdoor fireplace in cooking marshmallows. Every night we had a roaring fire too in the Family room.
Working with Debbie and Bryan was the best. They were so helpful on ALL accounts and a joy to "do business with". A great restaurant we found was the Black Sheep in town and the very large Ingels grocery store was fabulous.
Be sure to make your reservation for this VRBO!!
My husband and I brought our two boys and our dog to this mountain cabin for 6 nights. The owners are very nice and accommodating! There is a bedroom on each floor, which makes privacy nice (if traveling with other adult couples.)
Beautiful views and sleeping under the stars a few nights were amazing! This is a great place to come "home" to after a day of hiking and/or sightseeing to relax and unwind.
One side note: If you are not used to driving in mountainous areas the last ~1/4 mile to the home is...steep! After driving up/down this part a few times helped lessen any nervousness we had.
All in all, a very beautiful get away cabin to help in recharging your batteries!
The cabin was beautiful. The view was amazing. It was a great place to come back to after a day of hiking and sight seeing. It was also a great place to hang out and enjoy. We would highly recommend this cabin.
Cabin was beautiful awesome view.. owners very helpful and friendly. .. We would definitely come again...
Btw that master suite with super large bathroom was icing the cake...
We had such a good time between Christmas & New Years getting our daughter's & son's families together in a beautiful mountain cabin in Blue Ridge, GA! We spent most of our time in the large living room on the main floor with a roaring wood fire, watching the 3 grandchildren interact and bond. The kitchen was right there so many meals were prepared looking out at the gorgeous mountain view. The beds & furniture were very comfortable & we all enjoyed the pool table, air hockey game & outdoor hot tub.
We look forward to renting from Brian & Debbie in the future. Brian went out of the way to make sure we had wood & the lady who cleaned does a great job. They gave excellent directions, & suggestions for things to do in the area, and made payments very easy to do.
The town of Blue Ridge was very interesting & we visited the Amish Store on the main road several times. yumm!
We did something different this Thanksgiving and invited our three grown children to meet us in Blue Ridge for a family holiday away from home. Staying in this beautiful and comfortable cabin overlooking the majestic mountains made it really difficult to leave it each day to visit the quaint town of Blue Ridge, ride the historic Blue Ridge Scenic Railway and hike a few of the many nearby mountain trails. The open floor plan, many windows with grand views and natural light streaming in from sunrise until sunset, made us feel like we were staying at a spa. I highly recommend this property and would definitely go back again!
