Location, location, location! Our Historic Registered 1920 stucco double is located just steps from the shopping and dining of Old Town's Main Street.

Relax in our 'SOUTHERN COMFORT' apartment among comfortable antique furnishings, beautiful hardwood floors, beaded board walls and ceilings for an atmosphere that feels like home for your vacation choice for a few days, a week or more! Enjoy the outdoors on the front porch or the rear deck!

You may elect to sit out front and watch the world go by or take a walk to visit the variety of interesting shops, art galleries, restaurants, coffee houses and music venues, all within a few short blocks of our cottage! We are two blocks from the waterfront and less than one-half mile from the public beach and fishing pier as well as a walkway/bike path along the beach that goes on for miles! We are also within a few minutes drive of a world class golf course and casinos. If you're here on the evening of Second Saturday of each month, you can enjoy the extra hospitality of our merchants in Old Town with complimentary food and drink in the galleries and shops and live music along Main Street for your added enjoyment.

Stay with us in our welcoming cottage for a great way to meet the locals of Bay St. Louis and experience 'A place apart.' We know you'll love our friendly people and the charm of our small town and find it hard to leave!

About The Owner

We are New Orleans natives that built a second home in 1998 in Bay St. Louis and retired there fulltime in 2004. We love saving and restoring old houses because of their charm and character. After losing our home to Katrina, we found and restored an old home a short distance from our original homesite to return to Bay St. Louis fulltime. We had purchased this cottage on Main Street in Old Town in 2004 to be a vacation rental and embarked on a total renovation. Hurricane Katrina interrupted that and required us to perform additional renovation work to complete the project. With the need for long-term housing, we rented the cottage to several locals waiting for their homes to be rebuilt. The cottage didn't go on the vacation rental market until late 2010 and has proven iteself as a comfortable home away. We are hoping to restore more old homes in Bay St. Louis.

We love renovating old homes and found this dilapidated vine covered cottage just waiting for someone to take care of it! It's location in Old Town makes it ideal as a vacation rental to allow our guests to be in the middle of what makes Bay St. Louis so special!

The location allows our guests to be a part of Old Town and shop and eat without ever having to get in a car. Our location allows easy access to any activities along the Mississippi Gulf Coast!

We have been visiting this cottage for several years now to visit family, and it has truly become our home-away-from-home. It's very comfortable for 4 (husband + 2 daughters +me), well-appointed, clean, quiet, well-maintained and we have never wanted for anything. The decor is beautiful and welcoming and has an elegant southern feel, yet is still comfortable. It's location is ideal being within walking distance of our favorite coffee shop, restaurants, galleries, shops and the beach. I can't say enough good things about Sandy and Ronnie, the owners. They have always been incredibly accommodating. I highly recommend this cottage.

Our family first rented this unit for the week of Cruisin’ the Coast in October 2011 and had the most amazing time. This past year (2012), we decided to rent both sides (Southern Comfort and Latitude Adjustment) for the same October event. The home is very comfortable, close to the downtown shops and restaurants, and a short stroll to the beach. What a perfect location! The home was clean, charming, and stocked with everything we needed. We really enjoyed the southern décor and made good use of the accommodating outdoor space. We plan to repeat this October rental for many years to come and highly recommend this VRBO to anyone vacationing in the area.
