Luxurious 2 Bedroom Penthouse with Spectacular Views

We took this 4 week rental to avoid some of the South Florida summer humidity. We couldn't have been more pleased with the accomidations, attractions of the Island and the people of St. Maarten.

The condo is new, large and fully equipped for a lengthy stay. The weekly maid service was an unexpected bonus which made our stay even more hassle free. The huge balcony on the back of the unit provided a180 degree view across the island and beautiful sunsets each evening. Lights from the neighboring island of Anquilla are visable every night. The majority of our evening meals were held on this balcony with fresh fish picked-up in the mornings at the local seafood market, live lobster from the lobster wholesaler or beef/pasta from the local grocery. The hot tub on our private balcony provided many evenings of relaxation after dinner. Three TV's with cable service provided all the news of daily events we cared about.

The short walk to Mullet Bay (a large horseshoe shaped white sand beach) each morning provided an almost always totally private beach for an early morning dip before breakfast. Every beach on the island is beautiful but Mullet Bay is spectacular with only a beach bar where hamburgers are $4 and a beer is $2.

The very quaint little town of Maho is also a short walk. We found it easy to park on evenings we didn't feel like walking. We enjoyed the casino and several of the restaurants. Happy hours with 2 for 1 specials abound all over the island. We were only disappointed with a restaurant choice once or twice during our stay. There is such a huge selection of dining choices on the island that any palate can be satisfied. The island is small enough that dining at the farthest point from this condo is easily done.

The owners, Ron and Sue, were great to work with and made the whole process so seemless. Thanks to them and Rufina, their maid, our respite from the South Florida summer humidity was spectacular.

We have rented at least a dozen properties on VRBO, and this experience, hands down, was our best. Sometimes, owners tend to "oversell" their properties and the result is a letdown when the rentor walks into the property for the first time. Such was not the case with this property.

The property is well maintained and the condo itself was perfectly appointed. ALL of the appliances were top drawer, and we couldn't believe how many "leftovers" (coffee filters, a couple of cold beers, etc) were kept from previous rentals, this was a huge money saver for us and helped us avoid trips to the grocery store.

The views from the various balconies are stunning, we had coffee every morning on the rear balcony, the setting was perfect and some mornings, it was hard to pry ourselves out of the serenity to go about our day.

We used the grocery service to stock the condo before our arrival, and it was a great relief to not be forced to run to the store upon arrival. The wireless internet worked perfectly and it was nice to stay electronically connected during our stay. The security at the condo is exceptional, a privacy secondary door seperates the Henry's condo from the other 5th floor unites, and the main door double locks. We met the cleaning lady, she was so charming, and the condo was 100% spotless when she departed shortly after our arrival.

Susan and Ron were so good to work with. When we arrived, I couldn't log onto the wireless router, and they were so patient with me. As it turns out, i was inputting the wrong password and even though this was 100% my fault, the Henry's were gracious and supportive.

We WILL BE BACK!

We arrived on January 18 for a nine day stay. Wish we were still there!
The accomodations were SPECTACULAR and very, very clean. It is an easy walk to Maho. Shops, beaches and restaurants are very close.
Ron & Sue were absolutely great to work with and very flexible.
The master bedroom suite was wonderful with all the sliding doors that open to
fabulous views.
We cooked in several nights and were very impressed at how well the kitchen was equipped.
