This was my and my family's first experience with HomeAway and it will definitely not be our last. The home was exactly as advertised. The convenience to Old Town is a real plus. You can walk over and shop or have a meal or just sit outside and have coffee. The museums are literally across the street. We also made good use of the grill on the patio.
We were quite pleased with.the house, and the location. We rented, and met up with another couple, and there was plenty of space, and a full kitchen, with great outside area to eat or sip coffee in the morning. We had our dog and she appreciated the tiles throughout... I think they felt nice and cool... it was also nice to have the opportunity to do laundry as we were on a long road trip.
There were a few cleaning issues, and very worn furniture oitside that wasnt necessarily safe to sit in , these things were communicated with the management and she was going to address it.
Over all so pleased with our stay and our cute house. Old town is wonderful , and lots of fun walking around, and hoing to the nearby parks, and museum's.
I would definitely recommend this spot.
A colleague and I shared this home during a conference held at Hotel Albuquerque. The house is charming, spacious, and very clean. The location off the Old Town square is unparalleled, we felt very fortunate to have found the home. The description was perfectly accurate, the owner was very communicative and clear, and the homeaway transaction was easy. I would highly recommend this property, and I hope to stay there again when in ABQ.
I enjoyed the casita. It is well kept up, and well cared for. If i can, I will be back and stay in the same place.
The house was exactly as described! The location is superb! We enjoyed every aspect of the home and our stay, we were lucky enough to catch the Founder's Day fiesta. It was fantastic! Everyone was so friendly, and I look forward to staying here again. Thank you so much!
We totally enjoyed our stay in Old Town Albuquerque and staying at this home had a good deal to do with our pleasure. It was a 3 minute walk to Old Town. It was clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. We came to relax and this place helped us do so. Totally recommend to others.
The well appointed, clean and efficient living space of Southwestern Casita includes absolutely everything needed to make for a comfortable and convenient stay. The private courtyard provides added security and a great place to relax.
It is steps away from multiple small shops, fine dining, art studios, etc. Within 3 blocks, there are three museums (Albuquerque Museum, Explora, and Natural History Museum), 2 parks, a church built in 1706, and possibly one of the finest photo galleries in the Southwest, (APG). Don't forget to stop at the olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasting room. Yes, it is real, and worth the stop. Public Park, Post office, Hair Salons and great Restaurants (High Noon, Seasons, etc.) Minutes from downtown. Home of Int'l Balloon Fiesta, Casinos close by, Ruins, Jemez Mountains, Sandia Mountains, Hiking, Biking, 45 minutes from Santa Fe. Close to Rio Grande Zoo and Botanical Gardens.
Fun day trips include taking the tram to the top of Sandia Peak and hiking to Kiwanis cabin; taking the Turquoise Trail (Hwy 14) to Madrid, and Santa Fe; taking the Jamez Mountain Trail (Hwy 4) to Bandalier National Monument and the hot springs at Jemez Springs.
