Great location
The concept of the condo was a great idea and the location was awesome. You can walk to everything in the Gas Lamp Quarter. You cannot tell it is a condo, as it is the front of the dry cleaners and looks as such, so difficult to find at first. We never did find the bikes that were to go along with the condo, I asked about them, but no comment on the bikes. There were a few items that were worrisome, the front door did not seem safe at all. We were there for 3 nights and out of the 3 nights, 2 nights we had to try to get into our place without startling homeless that were sleeping by the front door. The overall cleanliness of the place wasn't the best, I agree with many previous posts regarding this. It basically needs a very good DEEP cleaning. Many things are broken or just poorly taken care of. Tons of light bulbs were out, blinds in living area had fallen off there track, which we called about and they fixed what they could, but couldn't fix blinds or replace majority of lightbulbs. The place needs some maintenance, fix holes in the wall from things that have broken or fallen apart. Also, there were NO locks on any of the bedroom doors and when you stay with other people and fear the front door not being safe is a little worrisome. I did hear some people selling and smoking pot outside the "cleaning/storage" room. It did not have extra toliet paper, so we ran out. Again, the overall concept of the place is great, it just falls a little short. Wires hanging out of the walls and things just not completely fixed or installed correctly. One good weekend of some TLC could fix many of these items. It is basically a bachelor pad. Would we stay here again, probably. We thought is was a cool place and great location, just needs some extra love to make it amazing and fix the front doors so you feel safe or install an alarm, plus add locks to the bedroom doors. We did enjoy our stay in San Diego!
