Beautiful, well-maintained Maui home
We loved our stay at this Pineapple Estate so much that we're already thinking about when we want to go back. This home is lovingly cared for - very clean, well-stocked, and meticulously landscaped. Based on the location we were a bit skeptical of how good the ocean view would be, but we were pleasantly surprised to enjoy a dramatic view of the neighboring island, ocean, and golf course. I'm so glad that we planned to spend most of our time literally at the house, because that's what we did - it was easy to spend hours by the pool and hot tub, or in the open air great room with kitchen, dining room, and living room all open to the view. Having access to the Kapalua shuttle system made it easy to get to and from Kapalua beach when we felt like spending the morning there. We traveled with young children and they really enjoyed the pool and grounds - the pool had a nice design of an extended bench/step in the shallow area for our toddler to play on, and the grassy area by the pool was a good spot for running around. The owners had a high chair and a bunch of pool toys available for our use, which was great as well. The master bedroom was absolutely enormous, and having a big walk-in closet was a plus. There were one or two small things that we needed to call the owner about and he was always happy to answer questions and take care of anything that came up. Really a lovely home and we enjoyed our time there so much.
Just a few other recommendations for the area . . .
-EasyTravelHi(.com) made renting kids stuff and lots of toys/books very easy
-Honolua Store on the office road is great for affordable, delicious lunch
-Honolua Bay just north has great snorkeling - hike in or book a Teralani snorkel cruise
-Iron Imu BBQ restaurant just over in Napili was surprisingly delicious and has a playroom for kids
-Drive over to Duke's restaurant in Kaanapali for a fish sandwich and hula pie!
