This charming Vermont holiday rental is the perfect setting for a honeymoon or a romantic retreat. This lovely Stowe cottage, nestled on 4 wooded acres, is located just 1 mile from the village, or drive just eight miles to Mt. Mansfield for skiing. This Vermont vacation rental is well appointed with Black Forest and French antiques, hand loomed rugs, and lush draperies, this Stowe cabin rental is the perfect combination of rustic and luxury. The piping hot wood stove and the chiming cuckoo clock make this cottage a cozy retreat after a day of hiking or skiing. The large master bedroom has an antique four poster bed, complete with a sumptuous mattress, and a sitting alcove with a sleeper sofa. The sleeping loft has a full size bed. There are also 2 decks and a barbecue grill. We are pet friendly too. Well behaved approved pets are welcome at this romantic Stowe vacation rental.

Nearest Airport: Burlington at 36 Miles
Nearest Motorway: Rte 100 at 10 Miles

Stowe has wonderful hiking trails, both easy and challenging. There are miles and miles on bike paths for biking and Roller blading. In the summer there are open air concerts, golfing, fly fishing, hot air balloon rides. There are many beautiful lakes nearby for hiking, canoeing or fishing. Stowe is known for its great restaurants, many to choose from just minutes away. There are two spas in Stowe, the Stowe Flake, and Top Notch—both wonderful. There's lots of antiquing in the surrounding areas--and prices in Vermont are quite reasonable. For a day trip choose from Burlington, Montpelier or Montreal. Stowe is known as the Aspen of the North, and the mountain is currently being improved with new runs, lifts, and world class shopping. There are hundreds of miles of trails for cross country skiing or snow shoeing, and of course ice skating as well.

  • Rental contract is to be returned with amount in full. If a cancellation occurs, the rental fee will be refunded if we are able to re-book the cottage, less a %15 processing fee. A $500 security deposit is required, which is returned as soon as cabin is cleaned and inspected.

Cute as a button and comfortable as you can get....very cozy. Best nap I've had in years. Great location for doing absolutely nothing! or, close enough to 3 different ski resorts to ski your life away!!

If you've never rented a property before you really should try this one. Great place, great owner, great...Go ahead. Take the 'plunge' and rent this one now before it is all booked up.

Goldilocks Cabin is perfect for a romantic getaway. My husband and I stayed there during our honeymoon and it turned out to be exactly what we hoped it would be: cozy, comfortable, country style, clean, and the perfect location. We hope to return and stay there again during a different season so we can experience more Vermont charm.

The perfect romantic getaway. We spent our honeymoon at Goldilocks 3 years ago and have been going back every year since. The comfort level is top notch. So cozy you won't want to leave. The stay exceeded my expections in every way. I recommend it highly.
