ANYA'S COTTAGE NOW HAS ITS OWN ADJACENT, PRIVATE 'PARK'

Pine Mountain Club Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1.5 Baths, (Sleeps 7-8)

Summer is gorgeous in Pine Mountain Club!

We just acquired the property adjacent to the cabin, a park-like space now available to our guests! It contains a horseshoe pit (bring your horseshoes and go for it!); a rock pond with a waterfall, filled in the spring; many seating areas and benches; three covered benches for reading or relaxation; a wishing well; a windmill; walking paths; and decorative garden art. In the spring, we'll be bringing in a picnic table for your outdoor eating pleasure. We hope our guests enjoy this new feature of Anya's Cottage. Please contact us if you wish to rent only the outdoor space for day events. Contact us also about special events and retreats.

We truly believe that you will not find another cabin more lovingly decorated, each piece acquired one at a time, to complement the beauty of the mountain. Our cabin has been used by more than one film crew and for a number of club retreats. It borders the protected national forest and has a soothing, seasonal stream on the property. It is private and tucked in tall pines but is walking distance to the village where you can shop for groceries, browse for antiques, go to the local coffeehouse, dine, and listen to local music.

The cabin has just undergone a thorough cleaning and an attractive renovation, which includes brand new spa tile in the main bathroom; a rain shower head; new hardwood flooring up and downstairs; a beautiful, full-sized, new stove and hood; new vacuum cleaner, mop, and broom; some new furniture and decorations; coffee maker; DVD and CD player; new log bed for the second bedroom (now in addition to the one in the master bedroom); new IKEA twin bed and mattresses; 6 new pillows--4 down and 2 hypo-allergenic; designer down comforters; and, new fixtures in the downstairs bath. We've had the upper deck restored and the rails repainted, and we've bought new deck furniture. But, most importantly: we finally have hooked up the propane heater! And, what a difference it makes. Having gas heat in the bedroom/main bath area keeps you more toasty than most of the cabins do which tend to have electric heaters here in PMC. And, upstairs, the wood stove keeps you as warm as you'd like!

This 1200+ square foot, two-story cabin has two bedrooms (one with a queen-sized log bed and a twin, the other with a full-sized log bed and a twin); a fold-out bed; a large fold-out sleeping pad; one-and-one-half baths; is paneled in knotty pine throughout and has new hardwood floors up and downstairs; and filled with authentic vintage mountain furnishings, antiques, and cozy quilts. It also has several decks where you can relax in pure solitude and privacy and enjoy the tranquil scenery. And, if you simply can't leave all of civilization behind, the cabin comes equipped with free high-speed, broadband wireless Internet access (Wifi).

Be sure to visit Fern's Lake which is half a block away. Kids, bring your fishing poles! In winter, you can sled just steps behind the property.

The clubhouse in the village offers many activities and amenities, including golf, an outdoor pool (from Memorial Day to Labor Day), a bistro, and a recreation room for the children. Our guests receive use of four free guest passes for their entire stay. Mount Abel and Mount Pinos (over 8000 feet) are nearby. Pine Mountain Club also offers a number of festivals throughout the year.

The cabin sits at 5400 feet, so come and enjoy the snow in the winter, the bright blue skies and sunshine in the spring and summer, and the colors in autumn. You will not be disappointed.

EXCELLENT GETAWAY LOCATION!

  • 5 of 5
Other reviews have mentioned how private the cabin is. They are right! What a great, quiet place to unwind. Plenty of movies and board games to keep you entertained. The kitchen is well stocked with most things you need to make a meal. It's an easy walk to the town center. We will be back!

Owner's Response: Hi, David,

Thanks so much for your kind review. You were wonderful guests. In fact, my housekeeper just recently sent me this note about you: "The guests of this past weekend were wonderful! They left the cabin in great and clean condition:)." So, thank you! Hope to see you again-- Marilyn

WONDERFUL ROMANTIC GETAWAY

  • 5 of 5
My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at Anya's cabin. Rustic, secluded, and just what we needed. The only problem with the cabin cropped up soon after we arrived when we realized the shower was broken. But I emailed the owner and literally within the hour a plumber had showed up and fixed it in minutes.
The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and the living area is cozy. As of July 2013 there was PLENTY of firewood-don't worry about bringing your own!!!
Stargazing from the private back patio was the icing on the cake. Definitely coming back!

YOU CAN'T GO WRONG, BEST PEOPLE, GREAT PROPERTY

You Can't Go Wrong, Best People, Great Property
  • 5 of 5
First must express the quickness of response of the owner to rent this beautiful cabin. My Husband and I came for our anniversary. We had 3 days notice of his days off. The owner worked quickly with us to book the property, it was a very easy and smooth transaction. I wanted to stay longer and booked two additional days, and then received the third night free!
The location of the cabin is fantastic, the decks where we spent our "outdoor" time are private and secluded. Additionally, it is very quiet here. I've spent time watching the squirrels and blue jay's. My dog will go outside and you can hear them "warn" that there is a predator near. It is so private that if you wanted to lay out topless (or more) you could.
The pictures do not do justice. Both bedrooms on the lower level are big. Having a queen bed, and twin, actually I think the other is a queen and full. Both rooms allow ease of movement, even with the beds, chairs, dressers. They stay cool and window treatments keep dark for great sleep. I did turn the propane heating on one night and set it to 68, it worked so well that I had to turn it off. Bed very comfortable, firm and new.
Living space is upstairs, all open one room (except bathroom). Wood stove works great heats up all of upstairs, in fact it was too hot for me, told husband to chill on the building, lol. I wrapped up a roast in foil and let it cook a couple of hours in there, moist and tasty.
Kitchen has all you may need. Appliances are great quality and work well. People leave things here, we used left over charcoal, wood, and of course left ours here. There are some spices here, just things someone else thought useful that you may have forgot. Of course YMMV. Loads of blankets, pillows (in the closets, chest). LOTS of movies, vhs and dvd, good movies also, and a variety for family and kids. I couldn't figure out how to connect to the wifi, but just put the Ethernet in my computer and works good, nice speed.
Property additionally has lots of charm and decorated as you would want/expect. We did go to a local pub for a couple of drinks and ordered food from a restaurant down stairs who brought it up. The cabin is so great that we didn't want to leave. However, PMC has many activities should you want. Oh the water is very hard, bring lots of lotion for after your shower! The local market is pricey, so bring all you can.
I have one more night in this beautiful place. For certain we will be back, and soon. Thank You!

LOVE COMING HERE

  • 5 of 5
We love this cabin! Last night was our 5th return visit. We come about twice a year. Our kids love playing outside in the woods. And we just love the peace and quiet.

This cabin is clean, quiet and very comfortable. Lots of new upgrades since the last time we were here. It's obvious that the owners love this place. Thanks again for a great stay!!!

MOST AMAZING LITTLE CABIN!

  • 5 of 5
My family recently stayed at this cabin between Christmas and New Years. The pictures do no justice. The place was picture perfect, I thought I walked into a magazine layout, so cute! NIce and big, clean and had EVERYTHING we could need! Kept warm and toasty with the wood burning stove and excellent heating system. Kitchen was fully loaded to do a full course meal! The deck views were amazing, the stream at the bottom of the hill from the deck was relaxing. I would recommend this cabin to anyone. I am forever a Cabineer (along with my family)! We are already thinking of when we want to plan our trip back! I honest felt like this was home. Thank you for such a wonderful, warm and tranquil retreat!

WE LOVED IT SO MUCH WE CAME BACK!

  • 5 of 5
This is my second time visiting, I stayed here last July. It is in a gorgeous location. The house is really comfy and made us feel right at home. It has very peaceful, relaxing and inviting. With each visit it’s hard to leave. However, the thing that was comforting was the knowledge that I will be back soon. (P.S. The DVD player internet router worked fine).
