More than 200 km of cycling paths, a thick network of hiking paths and groomed slopes invite you to discover a landscape that has special charms during all seasons. Discover natural monuments on your hikes or discover the forest in all of its diversity. And if you have hunger after this: between shady forests and blooming meadows you will find contemplative cities where cafes, inns and restaurants invite you for a well deserved rest. A secret tip are the wild specialties or the forest potato dishes that can be found on the menus at restaurants during the fall. Ski:
Winter sports, the white pleasure. Snow is not guaranteed in our region, but when the white grandeur comes in the winter months, then all of Hunsrück is a winter fairytale. A 15 minute drive from our house is the Erbeskopf, the highest mountain in Rhineland-Palatinate. The local winter sport center is here (descent skiing, sledding run) with snow equipment, ski lift and flood lights. Events like slope festivals with radio RPR and late night slope parties occur here. Rent complete equipment for descents, snowboarding and cross-country skiing. Ski schools. Multiple cross-country trails are connected (different levels of difficulty and lengths). The Hunsrück house with exhibitions about wild-forest-nature is also here. Different activities for all ages are offered here. Outside of the ski season, a summer toboggan run is in operation. Short-term bookings possible, due to the snow conditions.
Golf:
The Bitburger Land has developed into an independent golf region with three courses. The largest complex of the Bitburg Land is the golf resort Bitburger Land Wißmannsdorf-Hermesdorf near the Bitburg reservoir. The complex is regularly included amount the best golf courses in Germany. The 18 hole championship course is the location for important golf tournaments. Contact:
