We were extremely happy with our choice. We walked in and it felt like we were home.It was amazing ,so cozy, clean, luxurious towels and comfortable beds.We can't wait to go back. Our week there was not enough! We loved it there ! We went antiquing ,shopping, and site seeing .so peaceful and beautiful.
My husband and I have rented over a dozen private vacation rentals over the past 10 years and we would rate the cottage as among the best. Clean, comfortable set-up. No nonsense owner, no hidden fees, & no elaborate (burdensome) check-out procedures. This allowed us to focus on our stay and enjoy this great getaway with our family. We stayed here with our three sons, ages 4, 2, and 1 month. The boys loved the miniature horses, walking down to the pond and exploring, and the tree house! The gas grill was a little fussy, but we were able to get it working after a few tries.
Perfect getaway for DC folks wanting to a break. Beautiful drive!
Carriage's Cottage provided a quiet, relaxing place to enjoy the pristine farms and hills outside of Shenandoah National Park. The owner clearly takes pride in his property and good hospitality. We enjoyed walking the hilly trails on quiet mornings and the full kitchen was perfect for cooking dinners and breakfasts.
This was our third year spending a fall weekend at Fairhill Farm. We love coming out here because the scenery is beautiful, the cottage is so cozy, clean and well-equipped (including reliable wi-fi), the proximity to wineries and Monticello, and the friendly animals to name a few. Mr. Keel and his family have always been very kind, welcoming, and flexible with our check-ins and check-outs. Perfect place for a couple to retreat, relax, and drink wine!
