Charming, quiet and great location

What a great property and host. This was our canine companion's first vacation and we all had a great time staying at the cottage.
The cottage sits behind the main house but feels completely private. It is located a few blocks from the beach, but if you are a runner, walker or dog walker, there is a fantastic trail alongside of Highway 1. From the cottage, the trail goes about a mile north to Cardiff by the Sea and a mile south to Del Mar dog beach. There are so many restaurant choices within walking distance, convenient bus lines nearby, and the Amtrak Surfliner and Coaster stop is two blocks away. Cedros District is one block away and not to be missed if you like great breakfast spots, interesting boutiques, galleries, a winery outpost, and some awesome stores (Leaping Lotus).
The cottage inside is really comfortable and convenient. This is a good size studio; it feels quite spacious. It was great to have a kitchen with the option of cooking. The bed and futon couch were comfy and it was nice to have the large screen flat panel TV with cable.
Thanks to Martha for the wonderful welcome basket and breakfast goods. Great baker! Lemon cheesecake was amazing as were the scones. Also we loved the thoughtfulness that went into our arrival and stay. Thanks again Martha.
