Both bay and ocean beaches are comfortable walks from house. Most people just walk or drop off kids with 'beach equipment' and park nearby.
Miniature golf, tennis, basketball and other recreational activities are right in Chadwick - between house and beach. Bay beach is really good for smaller kids - shallow and guarded with playground. House is at end of dead end street - good for kids, bikes, scooters, etc. Off street parking for 6 /7 cars.
