The kitchen is extremely large to provide the entertaining and dining area that you need for your entire group and opens to the lake front living area.
Looking up through the open loft area, you will find another completely separate living area, made for the kids, and equipped with TV, DVD player and games. The two bedrooms upstairs are set up dormitory-style and the beds can be moved or combined to accommodate your particular needs. One has a queen and full bed plus two twins, and the other bedroom has a bunk bed, queen bed and two twins. A central bath services both.
As beautiful as this home is, you will want to stay outdoors because everything is here! The expansive front lawn leads to the beach area where the kids will love playing in the shallow lake with no rocks. Or they may want to play on the swing set which also has a toddler swing. Grill up a picnic for your crowd on the new gas grill.
There are lawn chairs for 'mom and dad' to enjoy relaxing or reading a good book, picnic table for your outdoor picnics, and a fire pit to roast marshmallows or just sit and watch the stars at night. A basketball hoop on the paved driveway is great for the teenagers.
For the more adventuresome, kayaks and canoes are provided to use to cruise on down the Betsie River and a paddle boat is great for the kids to enjoy the shallow lake. Bring your jet skis, order a water trampoline to be delivered to the site or bring your own boat - plenty of parking space for many vehicles. There is no private boat dock at the site, but you can launch your boat on this lake nearby and anchor it in the lake at the front of the lodge.Boats are available from local companies who deliver to and pick up directly from the lake
Local phone service is provided and Moosehead Lodge comes with all linens and towels as well as fully equipped kitchen. Crockpot, mixer, coffee maker, microwave.

Area: This home is located just 5 minutes from Fun Country Water park, minutes from over 27 area golf courses, 20 minutes from Crystal Mountain, 35 minutes to Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore recreational area (and the 'dune climb'), and downtown Traverse City's great boutiques and fine restaurants are within 12 minutes. You can snowmobile throughout the local area or head on over to the groomed Grand Traverse snowmobile trails. Enjoy 'Moosehead' for your ski groups, family reunions, extended family vacations, corporate outings, and holidays.
