Paradise on the Reef is a gorgeous bi-level condo with stunning, unobstructed, panoramic oceanfront views of the turquoise Caribbean Sea, Solitude Cove and the white-sand beaches of Buck Island. Positioned on an east corner in an oceanfront building, this condo has some of the most unbelievable views and cooling tropical trade winds imaginable. It’s located on the highly desired and sunny east end of St. Croix where million-dollar properties abound, yet only five miles from downtown Christiansted. This fully air-conditioned condo is designed in a cool Caribbean theme. The upstairs living room opens onto a balcony with a sweeping sea view, dining area, fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar and half bathroom. There are two bedrooms, each with its own full bathroom. The master bedroom opens onto a full-size, private balcony.

Everything was wonderful. There are no adequate words to describe our

experience. The condominium exceeded our expectations. Security was

professional with a good attitude and very helpful. There is no doubt that we

would return. The local islanders were so friendly. The beaches were

excellent and the scenery was wonderful. Jeff, you were really very

professional and helpful and we appreciate your kindness. We will tell others

about the condo. Can't wait to return. Always felt secure. I have been all

over the Caribbean, this vacation was the best. Thanks to your condo, the

beauty of the island, and the warm and caring attitude of the locals. It was a

dream come true. We saw 8 islands in 8 days. Thank you.

The pathetic pink place

OMG. We we extremely disappointed and left after 2 nights. If you're looking for a 90's kind of place to stay you have come to the right place. There were 5 of us. It felt cramped with absolutely no place for privacy or relaxation. The kitchen table seats 4 and 4 only. You will need to bring in one of the old grayish plastic chairs from the balcony to accommodate any one else. The chair that is shown by the desk does not exist. The refrigerator is a light gray (from dirt and wear) and the inside door shelves are not functional due to all the bars are missing. The kitchen floor tile is cracked and is covered with a rug. The 1/2 bath has rust stains on the sink and everyone will be able to hear you use the toilet. The sitting area is small. The cushions are dirty and thread bare. We tried to watch a football game which was very difficult because the tv is about 15 years old and appears blurry in today's terms. Sitting on the balcony looking at the peeling paint and rental office roof is not appealing. The old and discolored patio table and chairs are not comfy nor is there any ocean breeze.

Down the stairs which by the way are very creaky so don't plan on getting up early in the morning to sneak quietly up the stairs, it's impossible, are the two bedrooms. The master is very large with minimal furniture. The king size bed is comfortable. This balcony has 2 white chaise lounges. The bathroom in mini and as another guest has said the shower nozzle is pathetic. When I mentioned this, I was told that it was regulation. The second bedroom was set up with 3 twins. The 3rd roll away cot is well past it's prime. It looks more like a hammock today. The bathroom in this bedroom is minuscule. The pocket door only opens half way so you will need to walk in sideways.

They do have thin and crispy beach towels and a cooler. We bought a couple more beach chairs and a cooler with wheels. We took them when we left. I agree that Jeff is very nice and helpful. However, when I discussed my dissatisfaction he said this has never happened to him before and instead of working with me he wanted to argue and then turned things I said to him around and would not give me any of my money back.

So the moral of this story is you get what you pay for and there is a reason all the pictures are far away. Good luck.

Owner's Response: Let me please start by saying that I did everything in my power to accommodate this renter. Not only on St Croix, but also on St Thomas. I have been in the vacation rental business for almost 10 years and occasionally I get a renter that is impossible to make happy. Well, this is that renter. First, her and her family checked in and stayed two nights with out ever stating that there was a problem. Finally, around noon on the third day the guest called and stated that "this condo is not to her standard, and this is not how she lives". I asked her to explain, and she told me that it's just not to her standards. She also stated that her family was fine with it, but not her. This guest could not give me any specifics at all. At this point she asked for a refund. I asked her what she thought would be fair. This guest became very agitated and stated that she would leave me a poor review if I did not give her a refund. I told her I would consider it and let her know. She then told me she was checking out later that day. Over the next two weeks, we received amazing guest reviews from the guests that stayed in our condo prior to and immediately after the "unhappy guest". Please refer to our website to see those reviews and about 200 additional guest comments. From our reviews you can see that I always go above and beyond. I make it very clear that our condo is not the Ritz. It is a nice, clean, and well appointed condo with amazing views. Nothing more and nothing less. I am sorry that we could not make this guest happy.

The Pink Place at Coakley Bay

The Condo was not exactly what we had envisioned. We had expected something a little more upscale in furnishings and decoration, but the location, while a little remote, was beautiful, directly across from Buck Island. The grounds were attractive, but the paving was almost as bad as the other paving on the island. We enjoyed our exploration of the island, having put 150 miles on a rental car, while looking around an island that is 7 x 28 miles. We saw some awesome beauty, and went to the snorkeling trail behind Buck Island. There were some issues with things not working right in the condo, but nothing we could not overcome. We supposed the grade of furniture and the others items used for decoration, and the small fat TV's were due to its intended use as a rental.

We were in St Croix for a month so we had plenty of opportunity to get to know the Island. The condo was in a great location, had a wonderfull view of the Ocean, and a very nice pool area. The grill was nice to have and as a result we ate in quite a few times. Christtansted was only a few mile away and a neat little town with shops and restaurants. There where a number of nice restaurants near the condo where the food was great. Our favorites were The Buccaneer (had a wonderfull sun set), Duggan's Reef,The Galleon, and our favorite favorite The Blue Water terrace for breakfast , (great Sunday brunch) Lunch or dinner. I almost forgot , The Cultured Pelican right in the Coakley Bay complex.Very good. Buck Island is a must: a nice sail to a beatiful beach for snorkeling and lunch. Plus you can't leave before you drive to Sandy Point, a National Park thats only open on Saturday and Sunday between 10:00 and 4:00, with one of prettiest beaches you will ever see. All in all a great month of fun, dinning and relaxing.

snowbird getaway

The condo was in a great location w/wonderful views. There was an issue w/a broken water main, no water for 30 hrs. This could to happen to anyone. We were not informed by mgmt we had to go to them the next day. Also the condo above us had all new tile installed which meant removing old & moving everything out. This lasted for most of the week. Very noisy! again no fault of anyone. I would say the showers could use a update. Parking at a premium in front of the condos, additional parking nearby. I dont want to paint this as a bad experience, when renting a condo you can encounter repairs etc. Jeff & Kelli were very kind, helpful & accomadating to us, always w/ quick responses. The pool is lovely & the grounds are very nice. Very quiet complex & nice restaurant on the property.

PARADISE...the only word to describe it! We just returned from this fabulous condo and island and I am dreaming and thinking of how to move there! The condo was clean, well kept, and just as advertised. We will return for many years!!!

We and another couple joined each other in St. Croix. The condo was everything we expected. Great Morning views of magnificent rainbows almost every morning. Clean and very close to everything on the island.

Located on the sunny, and highly desired East end of the island of St. Croix where the Easterly breezes come through, with Buck Island out in front. Coakley Bay Beach is available for great snorkeling, as well as many other great nearby beaches. Divi Carina Casino resort is nearby, which offers gambling, a weekly beach bbq, and other activities. Also, within a few miles of the condo is the St. Croix Yacht Club to the East, and The Buccaneer Resort or Chenay Bay Resort to the West, all offering activities. Within five miles of the condo is Downtown Christiansted at the harbor, offering great dining and shopping. The Cultured Pelican is also available on site and within steps of the condo, and offers wonderful Italian cuisine, take-out pizza, and poolside dining. Within less than a mile of the condo is an outdoor dining restaurant offering BBQ-style cuisine. Wonderful dining may also be found conveniently close at Duggan's Reef, Divi Carina, The Buccaneer, and Chenay Bay.

Other Activities: Kite surfing

Golf: Excellent golfing is available within three miles at the beautiful Buccaneer Resort, voted one of the best in the Caribbean. Also, for more economical golfing, golfing is available approximately three miles in the opposite direction at The Reef golf course.
