Guestbook comments from the owner

Mountain Manor was like a warm embrace. Felt like home. The wood stove/fireplace quickly heated the entire log home. Supplied wood was a wonderful added bonus.

Views from the house were just incredible! Mule deer snacking on the bushes in the front yard, knee deep in the snow, was one my children will never forget!

Forest trails, Monarch mountain, the beautiful mountain town of Salida all short drives make this an outdoor lovers dream! An evening in Salida is a wonderful way to finish up a day on the mountain!

Pam treated us as though we were personal friends staying in their vacation home. She made sure all of our needs were met and even informed us of upcoming local entertainment and personal recommendations. We are looking forward to our next visit to Mountain Manor!

Wonderful!!!

It was wonderful! Everything was exactly like it was described. It was so peaceful, far enough away from everything but close enough to drive to everywhere we wanted to go.

Beautiful rides

  • 5 of 5
The focus of our week at the end of September at Mountain Manor was to be feasting on the golden aspen show all around us. When we woke up to snow our first morning, at the higher elevations, our party from south Georgia found the mountain scenery transformed. We took rides to Independence Pass, Cottonwood Pass, Royal Gorge, and Westcliff, and around more locally, where we marveled at the winter splendors. Because it got chilly, all of us enjoyed the fireplace after a day of sightseeing. Watching a fire can be more enjoyable than watching TV! This was an easy and beautiful spot to be based. We found Mountain Manor to be very comfortable for our group. Thank you, Pam and Greg.

Summer in the Mountains

  • 4 of 5
We really enjoyed our weekend at the Mountain Manor. It was a great place to spend quality time with the family. It was peaceful and quiet for grilling and sitting on the porch, yet close enough to Salida to run into town when we wanted to. the setting is really incredible!

Family get away at its best!

  • 5 of 5
This was a fantastic mountain cabin. It was situated right off of the main highway and super easy to get to. It was less than twenty minutes away from great fishing. It was less than ten minutes from a Walmart! Everyone needs one of those close by for the uh-oh's of packing. My favorite memory was the hike to the waterfall. It is a beautiful, tucked away treasure!! The whole family had a great time, and we definitely would stay again.

Wonderful vacation cabin!

  • 5 of 5
This was a wonderful place to call home for our weekend getaway. The cabin is great - a perfect size and well equipped. The huge front porch was amazing - great views! This was probably one of the best vacation homes we have ever stayed in - we'll definitely be back!
