My wife and I have lived in Colorado for over 20 years and enjoy many outdoor activities, such as camping, fishing, horseback riding, biking, hiking, skiing (both downhill and cross-country), and snowshoeing. We live in the Denver area and use the condo as a way to get closer to all these activities. Although we travel together extensively throughout the world, especially Europe, it is always a relief to get back home to Colorado.
We spent over 10 years searching Summit County real estate before finding this condominium located on Lake Dillon. We wanted something within reasonable driving distance from our home in Denver and near some of the best ski areas in Colorado. We also wanted to have a view of a lake or the mountains--we got both! Since much of our time is spent in the condo, we wanted to see the beauty of the Colorado mountains while there, and not have to drive or hike somewhere to see this beauty. We can sit by the large windows in the living room for hours taking in the beautiful view of Dillon Lake and Grays and Torreys peaks in the background. My wife also likes the idea of being able to see the views while she is cooking!
When buying or renting property, the three most important features to look for are location, location, location. This condo is located a little over an hour from Denver, it is centrally located to 7 major ski areas (all within a 20 minute drive), it is near the quaint mountain town of Frisco with it's stores, restaurants, and bars with live music, and most importantly, it is located directly on Lake Dillon with unobstructed views of the lake and mountain peaks beyond!
