The master suite, with huge master bath and seperate shower and whirlpool tub, also has a connecting room with a queen sleeper sofa. This room is also an excellent accommodation for small children (We also provide a portable crib and gate if needed.) One of our downstairs bedrooms has twin beds, the other bedroom has a queen size bed. This is your home away from home as all linens are available (sheets, bath towels, kitchen towels). We even provide your beach towels.
Our kitchen is fully furnished with professional cookware, dishes, coffee pot, toaster and microwave and is open to the dining room and living room. Everything you will need is already here.
Our beautiful community pool is located just across the street. The boat ramp, boat slip and marina is only a few feet away. You can also dig for clams , scallops or oysters (but, make sure they are 'in season') and you might even be able to catch a crab for dinner in the adjacent waters.

Harkers Island is a small island connected to the main land by a draw bridge that is opened to let shrimp boats and fishing boats pass. Harkers Island is about 20 mins from historic Beaufort. The Harkers Island 'way of life' is simple, with friendly locals, the way it use to be.
The local ferries are available to take you to the pristine beaches of Cape Lookout National Seashore. Charter offshore fishing and inshore flyfishing charters are also available.

Harkers Island has most of the services/stores you will need. The local Grocery/Hardware Stores 'Billy's' & Eastard's will provide you with all your needs. About 20 mins away by car is Historic Beaufort, Morehead City and Atlantic Beach.
The House Managers, who live next door, are able to respond quickly to your requests and can provide a vast array of local information.
Harkers Island has almost two thousand permanent residents and many more who live here during the summer and fall fishing seasons. In addition, there are countless others who, though they may live somewhere else, still call the Island home. In fact, it has been said that no one ever leaves Harkers Island permanently.
