We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend with a group of 8 adults for a wedding. The home was large enough to accomodate us comfortably, it was very charming (the pictures don't do it justice), lovely front porch and landscaping, and very convenient to the ferry and shops.
We always go to Peaks in the winter for a visit. This house was plenty big and clean. The beds had fresh sheets and there were plenty of towels. The bathroom was nice and clean too :). This was a comfortable visit and the house warmed right up. We would definitely come back again. The cockeyed gull is very close and wonderful place to eat or have a drink. Everything is with in walking distance.
We stayed here the first week of August 2010, and loved it! We agree with the other reviewers that this house and setting provides both access and tranquility. Our daughter loves Horse Camp and the credit is a huge bonus. We highly recommend this house and family and experience to anyone else looking -- just don't take our week(s) each year (Ha!).
Myself and several friends of mine rented this cottage at the end of July 2010. If you want to relax and have some piece and quite then this is the place for you. You can chill on the front porch and enjoy your surroundings or sit out back by the fire pit and toast some s'mores.
You can sleep at night with your windows open and not hear a sound other then the breeze blowing through the trees. This is the place to be if you want to experience Island life.
It is close to the ferry terminal and back shore, but away from all the hussle and bussel. You will not be disappointed.
My family and I spend 4th of July weekend 2010 at this house and it was definitely the best 4th of July vacation we’ve ever had, it was a great time for all of us children and adult, there was always something fun to do and it was also relaxing we will love to do it again and even better every year.
