House, 3 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

Our home is located in the quiet, historic Old Northeast neighborhood of downtown St. Pete. We are on a lovely street with a great sitting porch on the front, with plenty of shade. We have a brick patio in the rear with a gas charbroiler and gas range for outdoor entertaining and cooking. Our home is warm and cozy - a perfect place to relax. We have 2 bedrooms one bath upstairs. Master bedroom and bath and a half downstairs. We have a gas burning fireplace and a large open living area.

There is never a shortage of activities! Old Northeast is centrally located for walking and biking, only two blocks to downtown St. Pete, the Tampa Bay waterfront and the beautiful North Shore Park. The park includes an Olympic size public pool and tennis courts, plus a waterfront walkway.

The historic Vinoy Hotel is only two blocks away, with fabulous restaurants on Beach Drive and the St. Petersburg Pier. Just a few blocks from our home is the Muvico theatre complex with Imax.

St. Petersburg has a cutting edge art scene which includes The Museum of Fine Arts, the new Chihuly Gallery on Beach, the new Salvador Dali Museum, the Morean Arts Center, the Mahaffey Theatre, the St. Petersburg Theatre, numerous art galleries and St. Petersburg Clay Company. the largest pottery complex in the south.

There are several venues for live music in downtown St. Pete, including Jannus Landing and the State Theater. We are 15-20 minutes to the Gulf of Mexico and some of the most beautiful beaches in the world! We are only 20 minutes to a major airport. We have a small airport, Albert Whitted, in downtown St. Pete. Bus service is a block away. St. Pete has an amazing YMCA, among other gyms, numerous day spas - one at the Vinoy Hotel, two blocks away!

Geoff and I are in the music business and manufacture recording equipment. I grew up in Florida and after living in Southern California, have returned back to Florida.

The Owner purchased this house in 2006
What makes this house unique

Geoff and I love to walk everywhere - and chose this home in Old Northeast for that reason. We walk to movies, restaurants and the many activities that downtown has to offer. We just love our location!

Debra was a delight to work with and the transaction went very smoothly. Their home is ideally located within walking distance of the waterfront, museums, wonderful restaurants. It is located 3 blocks behind the Vinoy hotel where our sons wedding was celebrated. It was more cost effective for us to rent the house. It is very comfortable and we felt right at home.

I enjoyed a wonderful getaway from a cold and snowy Minnesota winter in this perfect location. The home is charming, the neighborhood quaint, and St. Petersburg a great winter vacation town. Within walking distance there are museums, great restaurants, gelato, walking paths, and dolphin viewing in the bay. The beautiful gulf beaches are just a short drive away. I definitely plan to return.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this home in the Old Northeast. Not only is the location perfect (easy walking to the water and downtown), but their home is gorgeous and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recommend their home without hesitation.
