Bring your own boat or rent one close by. There is a small boat ramp on the property or free access 2 miles away on State Rd. 4. Dolphin Marina has bait + fuel easy access by water.
The Shell gas station + mini-mart are very handy @ the corner of A 1 and so are the Winn Dixie @ the light in Big Pine or Murray's Market in Summerland Key.
You must visit the famous "No Name Pub" 5 miles past Winn Dixie on the right side of the V in the road. The pizza is wonderful.
Geiger Key has a great Sunday BBQ + entertainment.
Key West is only 25 minutes away

We are retired school teachers who love the water.
The Owner purchased this house in 1990
Deep water access near Looe Key Under Water Sanctuary in the lower keys was our motivation.
Far enough off the beaten path but close enough to Key West, Marathon, Dry Tortugas.
Another wonderful snowbird experience at Peg's. Feels like our summer home but in the winter. Had a great time. Can't wait till next January.
Stayed at this wonderful house and had everything we needed. Booked it for this time next year except we will do 9 weeks. Access to the ocean is right there and our dog loves to just swim around outside the boat ramp. This is our second time in the keys and we decided we are snowbirds. Thanks for everything.
We loved our stay at this house. Our family of four (two teenagers), our Labrador Retriever, and my father-in-law had a great time at this clean and comfortable house in the perfect spot on Ramrod Key. The house has everything we needed, the boat ramp out back made it easy to launch our 21 foot runabout and quickly get out for diving, fishing and lobstering during the mini lobster season, and restaurants and groceries were nearby but the house was very quiet and secluded. For dining we especially enjoyed the Square Grouper and the No Name Pub. Key West was an easy trip by car. Looe Key was a quick boat trip and great snorkeling (we went twice). We caught plenty of lobsters and plenty of fish even though we were first-timers. Reef Light Tackle on Big Pine Key hooked us up with equipment, advice, and a secret spot for catching yellowtail. The property owner was a pleasure to deal with and quiick to answer questions. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends and family.
My fiance' and I stayed in Peg's home for a week, it was everything we needed and wanted. Well furnished throughout with a very comfortable king bed. We have a 20' boat and had no problem unloading and loading using the private boat ramp, what a plus! From the dock, we saw bluecrab, stonecrab and barracuda...there were large iguanas which loved to sun on the dock and in the yard, very cool. At night, the area is very, very quiet and very little light pollution so we were able to view many stars. Great fishing and diving nearby, we caught lobster! We will definitely stay at Peg's home again.
Thanks Peg for the wonderful hospitality and we couldn't have asked for a better location. Quiet and friendly neighbors and yet close to great food and fun. The house was very comfortable and fit our needs and was much more then we had expected. We can't wait to come back!
We went for Lobster Mini-Season and had a great time!! The home was clean and comfortable, and had everything you need. The location was perfectl. Only minutes to Looe Key Sanctuary or Key West. If you are looking for a great vacation close to the reefs for fishing & diving then this is a great spot. We brought a
23' boat and a 2 person ocean kayak and can't wait to go back and have more fun! The owners are very nice, a pleasure to deal with. We have been going down to the keys for over 10 years. This was the first time we got our limit both days (mini-season) by noon. What a good time!
