We welcome you to be our guest at this cozy retreat situated in the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains. Just 1.3 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway and 2 miles from the New River, this property is conveniently located only minutes from Boone, West Jefferson, Todd, and Blowing Rock. Extremely close to many cut and choose Christmas tree lots. Enjoy the adventure of selecting the perfect Christmas tree and having it cut freshly just for you.

The rustic elegance of this authentic log cabin is the perfect setting for a romantic weekend or a relaxing week long vacation.The cabin features two bedrooms and two full baths. Comfortable furnishings and tasteful antique treasures throughout the cabin enhance your mountain experience. Each room is decorated with a multitude of creative art designs inspired by nature. The log interior, the wood plank floors, and the wood burning stone fireplace are among the many quaint features that create an atmosphere worthy of a true log cabin. The kitchen area features new cabinets, countertops and appliances and is fully stocked with cookware and stoneware to inspire creative and memorable mountain cuisine.

The 3400 foot elevation at the cabin site offers cool summer breezes and often times snowy winter landscapes. Experience a mountain view from one of the wooden rockers on the front porch or enjoy a book in the hammock under the towering pines. Exquisite sunsets set the stage for an ideal Appalachian evening. The deck out back is surrounded by woods creating a peaceful and private outdoor sanctuary. Wooden deck chairs and iron dining table offer a comfortable setting for a relaxing outdoor mountain experience. It's perfect for outdoor dinners or night time star gazing. The property is scattered with a variety of flowers and numerous bird feeders that attract native birds and butterflies. Local wildlife include rabbit, deer, and wild turkey.

Let us pamper you with freshly laundered Turkish terry cotton bathrobes. We provide free wi-fi and satellite TV. Additonal amenities include fire logs, and a small welcome basket with soap, lotion and a candle all locally made.

We offer an optional stocked fridge with essentials to start your mountain adventure.. Additional fees apply. Please inquire about this unique option.

About The Owner

How fortunate we are to live in North Carolina where the mountains and the beach are never more than a few hours away! Although we love to spend time with the family on the coast, we adore the Blue Ridge Mountains. So much so we decided to buy a cabin and spend as much time in the high country as possible. We hope you enjoy our mountain getaway as much as we do.

Cutest Little Cabin In The Woods EVER

We arrived late Friday night and were greeted by comfy beds! The next morning we headed out to Shatley Springs for breakfast and then off to West Jefferson to go exploring. We chose W. Jefferson because we had been to Boone and Blowing Rock many times before. the town is full of adorable shops and a some great restaurants. The art galleries are wonderful and the towns-people were very welcoming. I spent the remainder of the afternoon playing around the cabin with my 1 year old daughter. The front porch has a gate that closes at the steps so it helped contain my little one who just learned to walk so I didn't have to scoop her up every other minute when attempting to take on the steps! My husband spent the afternoon down by the river with a rod and reel in hand!

The cabin has wonderful eclectic decorations which keep you seeing new and beautiful things every time you turn your head. The furniture was very comfortable and suited our needs well. The kitchen has everything you need to cook while being in the cabin and the fireplace (complete with starter logs and wood) set the mood for a cozy evening in our pajamas watching a movie when the sun went down.

Extras which were wonderful include an Iphone/Ipod player in the living room and bedroom and a DVD player in the living room. We were greeted by the sound of rain on the metal roof at night by a suprise shower!

The Spoons made our visit easy and wonderful and provide you with directions and advice on what to do in the area. They include a book in the cabin with pamphlets and information on things to do and how to operate devices!

We can't wait to go again!!!

SOOOOO Relaxing!!!!

My wife and I are expecting our first child in December and we needed a "get-away" so we could just relax and take our mind off of work and the busyness of life, and this cabin was perfect!! The clean, quaint, and calming atmosphere of this home gave us time to take a true break and visiting West Jefferson, Boone, and the Blue Ridge Parkway made our weekend vacation complete. If you are looking for a great weekend in the mountains, this is the place for you!!

Beautiful setting!!

We loved our stay at this cabin. The property and cabin are lovely--perfect get-away in the mountains. Beth was especially helpful with all the pre-stay information. We used the cabin as our base for visits to Boone, Grandfather Mountain, biking the Virginia Creeper Trail, and zip-lining. One restaurant in Boone we especially enjoyed was Proper, recommended by a local. The owner provided a notebook with lots of brochures about the area, which was also very helpful.
