Embrace a romantic stay in the heart and soul of old Florida...Arcadia. Come into one of the original old Mediterranean style Spanish homes built c1925. Enter the home through a large screened and covered tropical front porch, which also serves as a seasonal dining and entertaining space. The warmth of the heart pine flooring welcomes you into the formal living room, with its high ceilings, fireplace, and antiques from around the world. On your left is a library/study. Continuing on one passes beneath a handsome archway leading into a formal dining room. Both bedrooms are on your left. One contains a queen size bed, the other a king sized canopy 4-poster with antique mirrored headboard. The first bathroom off the master contains a jacuzzi. Leaving the dining room we pass beneath a second arch entering the kitchen adorned by a hand painted tile mural, extensive tiling, and antique architectural components. Off the kitchen is a breakfast room with a large screen HDTV. The room is embellished with Spanish tiles and original paintings. Leaving the rear of house one passes through a breezeway and enters s studio apartment with sky lighted bath, and views of the gardens and massive live oaks.
The hedgerow enclosed landscaped property gives one a wonderful sense of privacy and peacefulness. The gardens offering a charming pastoral tranquility for a Sunday morning read and coffee in a large veranda set beneath live oaks and queen palms. Meandering the numerous peastone footpaths you will come upon an art galley, two small pools, fountains, an outdoor shower enclosure area, and a small studio. Grandkids of all ages often exclaim...' You could get really lost in this jungle...' To us, that is a most satisfying exclamation.
