Forestville Guest House is located off of Covey Road at Johnson Lane in Forestville, CA. 95436. You can use Google maps to find it. If you enlarge the area, you will see exactly where we are located in the greater area of Sonoma County wine country.

The following towns are our more immediate neighbors: Graton (3 miles), Sebastopol (7 miles), Bodega Bay (22 miles), Occidental (10 miles), Jenner (21 miles), Guerneville (8 miles), Santa Rosa (13 miles), and Healdsburg (12 miles).

Our Guest House is approximately 1 mile from Westside Road a.k.a. Wine Road.

I have listed what our accommodations are below showing all the amenities we offer. We have dining areas both inside the Guest House and on the private patio. The Guest House does not have a kitchen. There is a wet bar. We provide our guests with cooking utensils as well as dishes, silverware, cups and glasses. See below for more specifics.

About Ana Renkow

We are a quiet fun loving couple living on a property we acquired in 1981. Our property mirrors our interest in the beauty of life. We have extensive gardens with many comfortable areas to sit and take in the plants and creatures that call our land home. We have a swimming pool which we offer our guests to share with us during the warmer months when it is a delicious temperature. Our swimming pool is not enclosed. Because of this, we do not accommodate children. Our swimming pool is solar heated. The Guest House is on our property and is located next to our home. There is approximately 20 feet between the Guest House and our home. All of our guests have felt quite private and separate. We are the only people who live on the property and where we live is rural. We live in a 2 acre minimum neighborhood and we are backed by a 5 acre minimum area. It is quiet and private. We invite our guests to share our property with us.

Most travelers fall in love with the Russian River’s meandering course as it flows past river towns and ancient redwoods to Jenner, where it empties into the sea. Kayaking, canoeing, swimming, inner tubing, fishing, rafting and sunbathing are favorite river pastimes. You can usually spot harbor seals and shy, cow-eyed pinnipeds at the mouth of the Russian River at Goat Rock State Beach near Jenner.

A lovely guesthouse in the country.

The description was spot on. Staying here really helped make our honeymoon perfect. The location was easy to get to and close to what we wanted .(Sonoma & Napa).. but was quiet and "country"...loved the kitchenette, the eclectic decor, and most of all...the Hot Tub! It was clean and well-maintained. I'd come back here in a heartbeat. We felt like we made the absolute best choice of place to stay and that was a really big deal to us.
Recommended for:  Romantic Getaway

West County Peaceful Retreat

We have stayed at the Guesthouse for several years and always are amazed that Peter and Ana continue to find more ways to enhance the overall experience. Now they have added a private parking space and pathway to the cottage; brilliant! One of my favorite things to do is to take my morning coffee down to the garden and wonder about. Every season brings a surprise; this visit the apple and persimmon trees were loaded with fruit.

The guesthouse was clean and the spa was hot and ready to go when we returned from our outtings. The owers have thought of everything to make the guesthouse the place we always head to when we need to escape to a quiet and beautiful place.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway
Owner's Response: Our goal is to make Forestville Guest House the type of accommodations people will want to return to year after year! Cannot think of a more relaxing way to spend a few days. Secluded yet close enough to enjoy wineries, hiking, bicycling, the town of Santa Rosa and surrounding areas. This was an incredible value for what you got; especially considering the cost of hotels in the Napa Valley area. We would highly recommend this retreat for anyone interested in visiting the area. Don't forget to try the local coffee shop, Roasters. Best coffee we have ever had.
P.S. A great romantic get away.

Well Appointed and Charming Wine Country Rental

My husband and I found this rental in the Russian River valley via vrbo. We were traveling from Atlanta. We found the rental to be well-appointed, just as advertised, quiet, quaint and peaceful. It was a wonderful place to come back to in the evenings from our full days of wine tasting and just exploring. We found the location to be ideal. We were only 30 minutes from the Sonoma coast (which we took advantage of), just south of the Dry Creek wine region, in the heart of the Russian River wine area and conveniently located for easy trips to Healdsburg and Santa Rosa. It was perfectly suited for the two of us. We just wish we had more time to enjoy the many amenities (hot tub, pool, books, movies, grill etc). We will certainly stay again on future visits.

Relaxing and wonderful retreat

My husband and I spent 3 nights at Pete's Retreat in Sep '12 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It has a great location that allowed for activites close by during the day. We visited wineries in the area, visited the coast, spent a morning in Santa Rosa. We spent our evenings at the guest house, grilling something for dinner (Trader Joes close by in Santa Rosa), enjoying some wine from neighboring wineries, and relaxing in the hot tub. The guest house was extremely clean, well taken care of, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We will definitely be planning a return trip and highly recommend Pete's Retreat!
