Our townhome is at Water's Edge, a charming development of colorful Charleston-style homes on Folly Beach. We are located in a quiet, tucked-away area on the river, but just a few short blocks to the beach and fun town of Folly. This is a beautiful, clean, no-smoking villa with one of the best locations on Folly. Enjoy amazing views of the Folly River and marsh on comfortable Tommy Bahama-style lounge chairs from the screened-in porch and from the second-floor master balcony. Great restaurants and beach an easy walk through quiet, tree-lined streets.

The homes sleeps 9 comfortably. Twin over double in first floor bedroom with full bath. Queen with full bath on second floor. Master suite with king on second floor. Sleeper sofa in family room. Family friendly for babies: pack and play, booster seat, jogging stroller, radio flyer provided. We have endeavored to make our home a stand-out, and offer many extras including beach bikes, beach chairs, toys, games, two-person kayak, gas grill, and outdoor shower to wash away sand from a day at the beach. Spend the afternoon by the river-front pool while watching boats drift by, or fish off the community pier where spectacular sunsets are almost guaranteed. Explore the eclectic town of Folly Beach, which boasts surf shops, great breakfast spots, seafood restaurants, and wine and beach bars. Stroll the 1,000-foot fishing pier or take a leisurely bike ride on the island (bikes are provided). Charleston, with all its culture and charm, is an easy 15-minute drive away.

We took our family vacation here summer of 2007. I have never stayed in such a beautiful and nice rental. We will for sure rent again in the future. This home has everything you need to enjoy your vacation. Its a relaxing home. My favorite was the screened in porch!! I spent most of my mornings and nights sitting on that porch. This rental is for sure home away from home! The owners are super friendly people. I'd like to thank them for allowing us to rent their home. My family will never forget our first trip to Folly Beach!!! This home made our vacation perfect!

We just returned from a wonderful stay at The Spaid beautiful home. Perfect location, beautiful surroundings, close to the adorable town and wonderfully sunny beach! the accommodations were perfect a very homey and warm environment! We LOVED it was only 15 minutes from Downtown Charleston!

Perfect Place for a Relaxing Getaway

As soon as we walked in the door, we felt right at home. The accommodations were excellent. The townhome is beautifully decorated. The garage was perfect since we were there in January and the weather was cool and rainy. And since the owners left a garage door opener for our use, we did not have to get wet to open and close the garage door. We could see the lighthouse from the deck.
We will recommend this townhome to our friends and hope to visit again next year.

We stayed at the Spaids home for a week and my family was so very comfortable. I am normally extremely picky where we stay and I felt right at home from the moment I entered. The Spaids were extremely good at correspondence which made me feel so much better. We are planning to return to Folly again and I can't think of a better place to stay. Great place and great owners!!!

We completely enjoyed our stay. It is a gorgeous home and the location is perfect. Lovely views from the porches and from the pier. Everything is within walking distance: beach, shops, restaurants, a park. It was exactly what we were hoping for and we can't wait to go back.
