This beach side condominium, located at the southern tip of Mission Bay, boasts a custom curved floor plan with huge multi-panel glass window walls. It commands breathtaking views of both the famous Mission Bay channel and the Pacific Ocean from the living area, dining area, kitchen and two of the bedrooms! On your left, watch America's Cup sailboats in the channel on their way to race; turn to the right, and watch the surfers and beach goers on the ocean. A short drive takes you to the 17 museums of Balboa Park, recreation and picnic area, and children's playground. The suite is also conveniently located in short distance to grocery stores, restaurants, and specialty boutiques. Want to take the kids out for a special treat? Within minutes is world famous Sea World, where the kids can meet Shamu the Killer Whale, and learn about the wonders of nature at the same time! Not enough yet? A jog down the street will take you to Belmont Amusement Park where they can ride the roller coaster or Ferris wheel, all while eating cotton candy at the same time.

Beauty, Luxury, and Serenity: The Perfect Vacation

We stayed here just recently in January, and the condo is absolutely fantastic! It was SO spacious that even 4 couples barely bumped into each other during the week. The location is right at the end of the Mission Bay peninsula, so it has the best view on the strip. The panoramic windows that span the ENTIRE common living area provide continuous views of the ocean and channel that are breathtaking. The sunsets are so incredible, that even my fiance (who is NOT a professional photographer by any means) was able to capture postcard-like photos.

As for the amenities, the condo is extremely clean and comes stocked with everything that you need. We often cooked breakfast and brunch at the condo. It even has an in-unit washer and dryer, which I always find to be a huge bonus. Parking spots in the garage were also a big plus because street parking was generally pretty difficult.

We loved going down to the sand volleyball courts just down below on the beach to play around a bit. On weekends, however, the courts are filled with REALLY good players, so we found other things to do instead.

We checked out the zoo one day and spent one afternoon in old town, which was a lot of fun. We also checked out the late night scenes in the gas lamp district and Pacific Beach, but we always ended the evening with a late-night stop at Roberto's tacqueria... right across the street from the roller coaster. For the most part, I was able to relax completely by sitting on the couch all day and looking out the window... and I'm not one that can sit still for long periods.

The owners were very responsive to our inquiries. We didn't really run into any issues (a good thing, right?), so our interactions with them were limited, but I would certainly rent from them again in a heartbeat!

Great Property

This property was clean, modern and roomy and very close to the beach! We have stayed in Mission Beach before and found other properties to be crowded with furniture and bedding that makes the unit impossible to enjoy. It was the perfect size for our group of five and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Unfortunately the property faces Mission Blvd. This can make for a noisy and busy location. The unit also did not have air conditioning and given the noise it was sometimes not the easiest to keep the windows open. The rooftop deck really makes up for this and is a great space for relaxing in the evening. If you are looking for a great property and don't mind the noise this is perfect!
