Talidandan is an exceptional property amid the rice paddies above Ubud. Stop at the grocery store on your way there because you won't want to leave once you're there. Beautifully built and maintained, there was nothing to complain of -- unless you're looking for traffic noise, loud discos, or exhaust clogged air. Also, bring books to read. The staff are helpful but not intrusive in the least. Massage at a reasonable price can be arranged and will come to the house. Massage tables are by the pool. If you must go into town much, you'll need to rent scooters, although taxis can be arranged. Our week at Talidandan was the most relaxing we have had anywhere in the world.
