Photos and Description of the Lincoln City vacation house rental 3 BR 3 BA Private Oceanfront House in Taft Neighborhood of Lincoln City

This Oregon Coast oceanfront house is in the Taft area of Lincoln City (near Mo’s). It overlooks the beach, Siletz Bay, and the rocks in front of Spanish Head. It has a very private oceanfront porch and yard with vacant treed lot next door. The main floor has vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, a floor to ceiling rock gas fireplace, and an open, lodge-like design. The living room has two seating areas (one for watching TV). Two bathrooms are on the main floor. The three bedrooms (two with excellent ocean views and one with a partial view) and a half bath are on the top floor. Technological amenities include espresso machine, broadband Internet with in-house computer, and Play Station 2. There is an eat-in kitchen with counter and stools, plus oceanfront dining room. The house is on a cliff. Stairs to beach are 300 feet north. Our own website is lincolncitybeachhouse.com

Here at the outlet of the Siletz River, the Oregon Coast abounds with life. A colony of harbor seals lives within a few hundred yards of the house. Whales are regularly spotted from the living room couch or porch, and at certain times of the year you can dip up a handful of sea water that is brimming with krill. In fact, the whale watching boats from Depoe Bay come to watch right in front of the house...the whales feed beyond just where the waves break. Seagulls, pelicans, cormorants, and other sea birds drift along the bluff just outside the window. Our ever-changing beach varies from a vast expanse of sand in summer, (often with a fun sand cliff at the high tide line) to fierce storms buffeting the foot of the stairs in winter (that's how all that driftwood got there!) Besides all that Lincoln City has to offer, you can take a scenic day trip to Newport and the Oregon Coast Aquarium (just 23 miles), or up past Cascade Head to Pacific City or the Capes Route

Notes: You must be able to go up a flight of stairs to access the main living area, which has a futon and sleeper sofa. The bedrooms are up another flight of stairs. We have had guests bring family members in wheelchairs up through the side yard to the main floor, which has the kitchen, living room, bathrooms, and the mentioned sleeping accommodations.

Kitchen Well equipped with dishes, good pans and knives, many glasses, including wineglasses, mugs, plasticware, blender, toaster oven, microwave, dishwasher, mixer. Gas oven and burners. All the clean up supplies provided.

Walk the beach, collect agates, go crabbing at the Siletz Bay,(you can walk there) see wildlife, go to Devil's Lake and rent jet skis or paddleboats, shop at the Outlet Mall, hike the Drift Creek trail, go to the aquarium, cozy up by the fireplace, sleep and dream.

Our family has stayed more than once at this home and we LOVE this hideaway for a private retreat and relaxing vacation.

The views are spectacular from the home and the location is great.

The master bedroom is very comfortable and the sound of the ocean will lull you to sleep every night!

The owners are easy to work with and the rental process is simple.
Recommended for:  Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Romantic Getaway

The views from the living room or dining room window were spectacular! This amazing little rental feels miles away from everything, hearing only the waves crashing below. However if you want within a five minute walk is a store, bars and a cute espresso cafe.

Homeowners were very easy to deal with and eveything went very smoothly during our stay.
Recommended for:  Pet-friendly, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
