Welcome to Flamingo Cottage! This cottage duplex is in Gulfport's Art District and is 500 feet from the Beach. Private patio in front and off-street parking is provided (one space). One large bedroom with new tile floors, large closet and Queen bed. Plenty of drawer space for clothing too. The living area, kitchen and bath are also tiled. Laundry room accessible from kitchen. This cottage is decorated inside and out in tropical beach themes. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, dishes and other cooking utensils so meals can be prepared if desired. The property is beautifully landscaped and well lit at night. You will absolutely love Gulfport!

    Saturday arrivals only January through April.

    Reservation Deposits: A minimum reservation deposit of $300 is required to confirm each reservation payable by cash, cashier's check, money order, traveler's checks (US funds). The reservation deposit is applied against rent, tax, departure cleaning and other miscellaneous charge (total due).

    Cancellation: The reservation deposit is non-refundable for any cancellation received fewer than 60 days before confirmed arrival date. There is a $50 charge for cancellation received 60 days or more prior to arrival date. Reservations will be cancelled for guests failing to check-in by 5:00 pm on the day following the confirmed arrival date. No refunds for early departures.

    Changes: There is a $50 charge for modification of a confirmed reservation.
  • Payment: Total rent, cleaning fee and 12% tax for entire stay are due and payable (in US funds) upon arrival in the form of cash, traveler's checks, cashier's check, money order. (Payment by personal check must be received two (2) weeks prior to occupancy.)

    Utilities: local phone service, water and electricity are generally included in the rates.

    All rentals subject to $75 + 12% tax departure cleanup fee.

    Check-in time: After 3 pm; Check-out by 10:30 am.

    Accommodations and right to switch: due to unexpected circumstances, if designated accommodations are not available, we reserve the right to assign guest to another unit.

    Pets: May be permitted with individual consideration and advance arrangements.

    Late Arrivals: Accommodated with Prior notification.

Accomodations: New pillow-top Queen bed that's getting rave reviews! Private courtyard and comfortable living room. Generously-sized bedroom with ample storage.

Activities and Area Information: Gulfport is a very active community and there is always something going on, from the twice-monthly Art Walk several blocks away to other special events, including the Gehko Festival, nighttime Christmas Boat Parade and Retro-Rama. Bicycles can be rented at a nearby shop and the neighborhood is excellent for walks. Sunbathing, swimming, volleyball and playground equipment are all at the beach, along with a covered pavilion that can be reserved for private use. We provide an excellent guest guide, complete with descriptions, addresses, phone numbers, websites and driving directions to the area's best places!

Location and local Area Information: Gulfport is a quiet, cozy beachside community established in the early 1900's. It is located on Boca Ciega Bay with views of St. Pete Beach to the west and Isla del Sol to the South. Gulfport has excellent restaurants, an exciting night life, a fishing pier, marina, nature park, white sand beach, excellent shopping including unique works by local and national artists and photographers, tennis and shuffleboard courts, a library, beach pavilions, a performing arts theater, a waterfront casino dance hall and above all, a white sand beach and playground equipment for children! All but the marina are within easy walking distance from this property. Located 30 minutes from Tampa and Tampa International Airport, 10 minutes from downtown St. Petersburg, 30 minutes from Clearwater, 15 minutes from St. Pete Beach/Pass-a-Grille and 20 minutes from Ft. De Soto Park.

I stayed in Flamingo Cottage during February & March while traveling with my little dog Sophie and I don't know who had the better time. She was welcomed with treats, her own dog bowls, and enjoyed being outside in the two private patios while I read or sipped coffee. Of course, we quickly found the dedicated Dog Park and that became a mandatory daily stop on our rambles around town.

I had found out about Gulfport and Flamingo Cottage on line and both were just as charming & friendly as I had hoped. The cottage was adorable with a good sized BR and a bed that was so comfortable that I slept better there than I do at home. The owners provided everything needed to cook, grill, get online (great WiFi)and enjoy the beach which was right down the street. Their corner property is perfectly located for walking to the beach, restaurants, shops, parks, library, and Tuesday's Fresh Market, and yet it was so quiet at night being tucked in to a nice residential area. The grounds are beautifully landscaped & maintained with private patio areas and nice outdoor seating & lighting.

I could easily imagine staying here without a car especially since the owners kindly provided me with a bicycle kept right out in the back shed for handy use. I ended up taking evening rides to the nearby Marina to watch the Pelicans dive for their dinner, trips to the library, to Yoga class, and even started letting Sophie run along side me for the extra exercise she seems to want. But, since I did have my car with me I was also able to quickly get in to Downtown St. Petersburg, visit Treasure Island, Passe-A-Grille, Ybor City in Tampa, and the not to be missed Ft De Soto Park where a section of the beach is reserved for dogs to be off leash year round, a rare thing to find & what fun!

The owners also provided a monthly listing of things to do in & around Gulfport and we enjoyed the Art Walks, a few community plays at Catherine Hickman Theatre, a Floridianna Festival, and the Pink Flamingo & Passe-A-Grille Home Tours. There's always plenty to do in Gulfport but it's also a great place to just kick back, relax & enjoy the beautiful beach, shore birds, & abundent sunshine. I really didn't want to pack up and leave this little slice of paradise I had stumbled upon and was very pleased with my decision to book Flamingo Cottage for those two months.

We were in the area for surgery at the Piper Clinic and stayed at the Flamingo Cottage for 2 weeks. It was absolutely perfect for our needs - well equipped and comfortable, close to hospital, doctor & beach and a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Nearby grocery, drug store and mall easily filled all needs. We look forward to returning to Gulfport soon (but under different circumstances).

We stayed at Flamingo Cottage for a little over a week and were extremely pleased! The cottage was well equipted, clean, and had a wonderful notebook of visitor information. We loved Gulfport and were especially pleased with how pet-friendly area was including restaurants and shops. Sally was really friendly and provided lots of great information about the area and things to do! We will definately return to visit again soon!

we had a truly magical time staying at flamingo
cottage.It is the perfect location for a quieter time
in florida but with everything you need to make
your holiday complete.great restaurants,lovely
beach and lots of friendly folk.flamingo cottage and
the area of gulfport are the real unspoilt florida.we
will definitely return.
