Terrible Experience

Rented this condo from owner back in mid-August of this year for 5 days. We arrived at 3:00 in the morning to find the front door had been kicked in recently and had no deadbolt (just a hole in the door where it should have been) and the wood around the lock area had been glued back together. We had to make arrangements for another condo in another building first thing the next morning. When the owner was informed she said she knew about the door but it hadn't been fixed yet. Refused to refund any money even though NO type of contract/agreement had been signed. Really shouldn't matter when you agree to rent a condo that's in the condition it was and a family of 6 spends 5 hours there before leaving. Poor rating isn't low enough for our experience.
Owner's Response: When MTexas arrived, the lock on the door knob was in working order and the unit was secured. A previous tenant propped the door open with the dead bolt, the wind blew the door against the door frame breaking the door and the dead bolt. MTexas called and informed me that he had moved out of the unit without giving me a chance to further correct the situation. The dead bolt has now been replaced.

Sure enjoyed the stay at your condo on Orange Beach.What a fabulous view of the Gulf of Mexico from the kitchen/living room.The location was perfect so convenient to everythingand just steps to the great white sand beach!We had a great time. Thanks,Marlin Miller

Wow, what a fabulous condo! We got more than we expected and really enjoyed our stay. Just steps from the beach makes it so easy to take your belongings down with you and plan your day in the beautiful sand and surf. Will definitely come back (again and again!).
