|Minimum Stay||3 - 30 nights|
This is my favorite place to go. You have it all here. Walk into this light and bright home with beautiful paintings, leather sleeper sofa, hot tub and heated pool. Bring your boat or use the kayaks and cruise down the intercoastal waterway to the oldest city in the country. You may just want to relax and watch your favorite TV/DVD show on the 47' LCD TV. Floors are ceramic tile and carpet in the master bedroom. Master has a 32' LCD TV/DVD. The large master bedroom has a king size bed and a twin. You will love the large walk in closet. Master bedroom has a private full bathroom. The 2nd bedroom is very colorful with beachy decor and has a queen bed and a twin. This bedroom has a 26' LCD TV/DVD. Just look at my pictures and you will see how comfortable and cheerful this home is. The kitchen has all the appliances you will need and very accommodating. You will enjoy the view of the waterway while relaxing in the large hot tub.
Bring your boat if you wish and dock it on the 10x20 floating dock. There are two boat ramps within a mile. There are two 2 tandem kayaks ready for you with paddles and life jackets. Maybe a ride to the beach on the beach bikes sounds better. Just have fun and do it all! Ride the bikes or walk to the beach which is just a few minutes away. This area has special designated beach access walkway. I have included a map and a booklet with favorite places and restaurants for you.
Heated inground pool looks beautiful! I designed the first step to be very large and about one foot deep to use as a kiddie pool or area to sunbathe. The deck around the pool is huge. Weber Grill and outdoor PVC patio table and chairs for your outdoor BBQ's is great rain or shine.
A covered patio 14x48 with an 32' LED TV outside in a waterproof custom made box. White vinyl privacy fence and large palm trees to give you that tropical feeling.

You have the best of both worlds. The intercoastal waterway to go boating or kayaking and the beach access to enjoy the ocean waves, sunbathing, swimming, and the view. The Historic District is only about 10 minutes north of here.
Restaurants and shopping is close by. My favorite beach is about 1/2 mile south of my home. You will find The South Beach Grill Restaurant/Lounge overlooking the ocean, plenty of parking, pavillions, and rest rooms. If you decide to go boating or kayaking I ride south to the Matanzas Bridge. It is a great place to park your boat/kayak and enjoy floating in the calm waters on a raft and sunbath. You may like to fish from the shoreline.
This is our 2nd VRBO rental, the first was abroad. We feel very fortunate to have stayed 2 weeks in this truly lovely home. Donna was great with all details and the pictures do not do this property justice. The home, pool, the view, hot tub, outdoor dinning with outdoor TV, fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer... all the details were so perfect, we often had to remind ourselves to leave the house and golf, beach, see the sights. To be honest by the second week we forgot what day is was. And the bed is extremely comfortable, we both have bad backs and had no issues. We took our corgi and jack Russell with us. The yard is "small dog proof" and we felt very safe letting them roam the yard while we were relaxing in the hot tub. There is a safety fence that can be put up around the pool which we did use for the dogs. There is also a tall privacy fence so you cannot see your neighbors, only the waterfowl hunting off the canal. The heated pool is amazing. The pool man and yard crew were very friendly. In fact, we intend to buy the same hot tub after a conversation with the man that takes care of the pool and tub. I miss that hot tub right now. The beach is less than 5 minutes away, St. Augustine is about 15 min, and my husband played 5 different golf courses, including golf hall of fame of course. There is a golf cub I think called St. Augustine Shores about 10 min away west of the house.. $10 for large basket on driving range. Course is not four stars but he loved waking up in the morning and going to the range..back to the house to find me reading by the pool, get in the hot tub, play in the pool, then go see sights/beach or play on the nicer golf courses. I would give this property 10 stars if I could. If we make it back to Augustine, we plan to stay at this perfect home. Thank you Donna!!
My family of 4 enjoyed this home SO much. The home is more beautiful than the pictures show. Just to list a few things we enjoyed - the pool, hot tub, patio, fully stocked kitchen, beach chairs, kayaks, bicycles, nice thick beach towels and bath towels, beach toys, etc. We loved that the home was pet friendly so our Maltese could join us on our vacation. One of my husband's favorite amenity was the cold mugs in the freezer. We honestly didn't want to leave and hope to return!!!
My husband, grown daughter and I stayed at this lovely home for a week of fun and relaxation that absolutely flew by. The house was simply perfect, inside and out. Very comfortable and attractive furnishings, beds, sheets, towels, large flat-screen tv's in every room, fully-stocked and very, very well-equipped kitchen, plus cute beach-y decor all around. A giant covered patio with another flat-screen tv and plenty of attractive furniture, a gas grill, a heated, well-designed inground pool, a brand new amazing hot tub, fenced and landscaped yard, and a floating dock! A garage containing beach equipment, pool toys, bicycles, and 2 two-person kayaks! And a lovely view overlooking the canal, which leads to the beautiful Matanzas River. Easy bike ride or 1/2 mile drive to a wonderful beach and fun restaurants. The historical sites and other fun things to do in St. Augustine are also an easy 10 minute drive away.
All in all, the perfect getaway. Donna, we can't thank you enough for sharing this wonderful home with us. We can't wait to come back!
What a beautiful spot, very quiet neighbourhood yet a short distance to the beach and local restaurants. The hot tub died while we were there and Donna had it replaced the next day! Everything is exactly as shown in the photos, all details taken care of. There is probably more to do without going too far but I didn't want to leave the backyard. Thanks Donna.
Wow! My partner and I just returned from an amazing four days at the house and couldnt have asked for a better place to stay. I have never seen such great attention to detail in a vacation home- literally everything was provided, pool toys/pushchairs, bikes, all paper products, luxury towels, spices, matching cutlery, so you neednt bring anything. The decor is beautiful throughout and the photos really do not do it justice.
The hot tub was wonderful, clearly very well maintained and we also enjoyed cycling along the almost empty beach on the bikes everyday and kayaking along the intercoastal admiring the sunsets. The beach was a very pleasant mile or so walk and St Augustine itself is a cycle-able 10 miles away- beautiful city to enjoy the architecture and people watch.
We stay in private homes 3/4 times per year on vacation and this was truly one of the very best- we cannot recommend it enough. Donna was also a pleasure to work with and very helpful and responsive to any questions we had- Thankyou
Wow!! That's all I can say to sum up this beach house.
My family of six, including my four kids ages 3, 8, 14, and 15 just had an absolute blast.
First of all, location location location!! Right down the street from the ocean, i mean just barely across the street! The house is tucked back into a quiet little subdivision, and it is RIGHT on the mantanzas river! We all had so much fun exploring the waterways in the ride on top kayaks. My husband and I really bonded when the waves got choppy and gave us an adrenaline rush!!
The pool- fantastic!! It was in the mid 70's the whole time we were there, but the pool is HEATED! And wonderful Donna was even kind enough to turn the heater on in advance, so the kids jumped right in after our long car ride. The big first step into the pool was ideal for Noah, our three year old. If it wasn't for that, someone would have had to hold him the entire time he was in the pool. Not to mention, there is a very cool bench on the side of the pool just a foot in for a more grown-up lounge. Oh, and the pool is about six feet deep!! Which we all LOVED!! There were a bunch of very-cool inflatable toys in the garage, including a giant killer whale that made Grace, my 8 year old who is suddenly too cool for barbies, squeal like a two year old when I hefted it out! There was even a toddler seat for Noah to swim in, AND some floaties that I wish I hadn't just spent eight dollars on! Talk about a fully stocked pool!
The hot tub was such a nice touch. My husband and I have been fantasizing about buying one ever since! It is just so relaxing to slip into after a long day of sight seeing and museum hopping with four kids!
The best thing about the pool and hot tub though is again- location location location!! Privacy, beautiful view, easy to see from inside the house so the kids were easy to watch. Not to mention, if we had stayed in a hotel we would have had to drag four kids up and down and in and out of hallways and elevators to go swim. No thank you!!
Now, the house. Just immaculate ! Very very clean, all the linens were crisp and smelled amazing. There are tvs in every room, even outside!! Cable and kids shows galore. Starter soaps and toilet paper, nice dishes including martini glasses!! And we just loved eating outside at the six person dinette on the patio. The yard is beautiful, so interesting and tropical. Donna was incredible- she went out of her way to make it amazing and easy! We booked again before we left!!
Everyone loves St. Augustine. You will want to come back to this town year after year. My home is north end of Cresent Beach. This is a beautiful area convenient to everything. Only 10 miles south of the downtown Historic District. Beautiful beaches here at Crescent Beach. Oceanfront Restaurant/lounge only 1/2 mile away at the drive on beach access. There is also a large parking area for those who do not want to drive on the beach. Pavillions and showers at Crescent Beach Park also.
Very dog friendly beach as long as you walk with a leash. I encourage you to bring your pet only if well behaved.
Golf: Take a ride to the Islands about 5 miles south of this home and see many boats parked here on a sunny day. If you have never been to St. Augustine you will love it! Please ask me any questions you may have.
