I have lived in this area since 1972 and have been a Realtor since 1997. I enjoy sharing my passion for Mt. Hood with everyone. I try to offer the very best of what people are looking for in their mountain experience.

Dale Crockatt purchased this cabin in 1977

I bought this cabin in 1977. It was owned by one family since it was built in 1925. It didn't have hot water and only a wood cook-stove for cooking and heat. There was only a toilet for a bathroom. It was furnished and I still have the rocking chairs that came with it- one is still there. The fire place was falling away from the house and was replaced by a woodstove. I replaced the woodstove when I turned it into a monthly rental. It was rented monthly for the last five years. All my tenants/guests have raved about how nice it is. I have worked on improving it for 33 years and hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Access to Mt. Hood. Affordable and comfortable! Free suggestions about where to go, what to do.

Thanks for renting us this cute cabin! My friend and I had a great time! We actually wished we could have stayed longer! The cabin is very clean and updated. Dale the owner was very helpful and nice. We would definetly stay here again!
Just a couple of suggestions (Dale asked!) - A couple more lights in the living room and a couple more towels in the bathroom. Other than that, the place is great! (My short friend did have a little trouble reaching the touch pad for the eating bar lights.)

Owner's Response: That's what I like to hear Diane! I appreciate the praise and also the suggestions. I have been looking for wall mount reading lights, but haven't found the right ones yet. I want to change out a couple switches- I thought they were nifty when the contractor put them in. Not so much after using them. Thank you for the nudge! I hope you will come back again soon!

It was a wonderfully cozy little hideaway, yet handy to stores and eateries. We hiked, snowshoed, checked out Government Camp from one end to the to the other and, at night, watched adventure movies. Life was pretty tough...
Dale had the cabin warm for our arrival. We had everything we needed for a memorable week-end. Life is good. :)

Another wonderful stay

This is our 3rd visit to the Cedarbrook Cabin - it's lovely to know what to expect every time you come back. It's also fun to see the changes - love the new silverware. There wasn't enough snow to bother with the snowshoes but we had some wonderful walks around the area. We also had some much-needed, guilt free "do nothing but read" days thanks to the wind and rain! (Which brings up a suggestion: a reading lamp in the living room would be great. The lamps are adorable but difficult to read by). The cabin is set up well and makes it easy to enjoy a stay in the Mt Hood area. Thanks again.

Owner's Response: Excellent suggestion Shannon! A couple times I thought about some wall mount units, kind of like by the bed. I'll try to find something ideally suited for a reading light than can be brought a little closer. I hope I can find something "cabiny". I have recently ended my responses with "please let me know what I can do to improve your or future visits". I'm hoping I can get everyone to help me make this one of the very best cabin experiences, at least in this area! Thank you very much for taking the time to comment! I think this is 40 five star reviews! Woo hoo hoo!!!

Cedarbrook Cabin Review

We had a wonderful time! The cabin was fantastic, the setting was amazing, and the weather was absolutely beautiful. We couldn't have asked for a more relaxing weekend. We visited Timothy Lake that had breathtaking views of Mt. Hood, and Little Crater Lake which was one of the coolest things I've ever seen, and made for great pictures - and they had a great little coffee shop 1/2 mile from the cabin - Mt Hood Coffee Roasters (this is important being from Seattle ;-).
Overall our trip was a 10/10. The only thing that could have made it an 11 was a hot tub!
Thanks Dale! We will definitely be back.
