Enjoy the view from the extensive windows facing to the south, overlooking Duck Creek Meadow, across from the Village itself. Or walk around the 1600 ft deck that completely surrounds every floor. We regularly count upwards of 50 deer coming into the meadow at dusk, and recently have been entertained by a family of foxes that hunts and plays in the meadow. You can almost always see a few Red Tail Hawks and Falcons cruising over the meadow, swooping down occasionally to pull a fish out of the creek, or some tasty morsel from the grassy meadow. Watch for the extremely social marmots that sun themselves on the rocks below. When you decide you want to stretch your legs a bit, take a walk down into the meadow itself, and see where Duck Creek disappears into sink holes on the east edge of the meadow...not to be seen again for 13 miles...where it flows into the Sevier River...Check with Mike our on site owner/operator, he will point you in the right direction. You also may be able to arrange for him to take you on a guided tour of some of the areas lesser known wonders...summer or winter! ATVs such as dirt bikes, quads, and side X sides or snowmobiles, he can get you there. An added Bonus is that the roads to our Lodge are maintained year round.
It's absolutely wonderful to spend any day including the holidays here at the Lodge. The community celebrates with live music, BBQ and whatever else they can come up with during the different holiday seasons.
If you have never experienced Duck Creek Days, You are missing out on an incredible time.. Its a Carnival in the Meadow with lots of different Arts, Crafts and food booths and the Famous Duck Creek Village Annual Chili Cook Off!!

I was born back east and through out my child hood my family had country homes in upstate New York. One of which was in Red Hook, New York, German Town. I always had fond memories of spending our summers their and loved the wildlife, outdoor scenery and beauty of nature. Our second home was in Putnam county on Lake Oscawana. Here I got to go fishing, swimming and having a great time outside with so may activities to partake in.
When I came across Duck Creek Village Utah I was blown away. This area located in the heart of the Dixie National Forest was a combination of everything that I could image it to be. My first impression had me in a dream state because it made me feel like I use to growing up. This place even had so much more to offer including; breathtaking views, National Parks, spectacular fishing, hiking, biking and every outdoor activity possible. This area features the most outrageous trail system for ATV's, side x sides, and in the winter snowmobiling as well!
Michael Vaccaro purchased this lodge in 2014
Located in Southern Utah, Duck Creek Village is a peaceful mountain meadow community, surrounded by the Dixie National Forest, that beckons to off road enthusiasts with inviting lodging and over 500 miles of ATV, Hiking, and biking trails to explore. It is easily reached from I-15, three hours from Las Vegas. It is also centrally located to take advantage of a wide array of wonders that this area is blessed with. Visitors can take advantage of fantastic fishing in Aspen Mirror, Navajo, and Panguitch Lakes, Duck Creek Pond, Mammoth Creek, and Otter Reservoir. There is horseback riding available in the area, as well as snowmobile, bicycle, and ATV rentals. Cedar Breaks and Brian Head are 16, and 23 miles, respectively, to the west. While Zion, and Bryce Canyon are 42 miles drive to the east, and south. Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument is 18 miles east. Slightly longer day trips allow access to the Grand Canyon, Glen Canyon, and Capital Reef.
Fresh air and water, sitting on our deck being entertained all day long by the abundant wildlife, cool temperatures, close proximity to all the natural wonders the area offers, short drive from Las Vegas, living at 8600' while enjoying all the modern amenities of our condo, Outdoor Activities. Very close to major National Parks Zion and Bryce Canyon. Close to Brianhead and several beautiful lakes!
I stayed with my family over the holidays (13 of us), and we had a wonderful time. The accommodations were excellent. I was very impressed with the condo. It was spacious, very light and open. It worked great for us. It is a quiet, peaceful place, with a beautiful view. We will definitely return again.
It was very clean with all the amenities! Short distance to skiing, snowmobiling, and sleding. Great family vacation!
Brought 4 families (13 total people) and rented 2 condos, everyone fit perfectly with room and sleeping space to spare (probably could have slept 6-7 more people in beds) and there are 4 more condos in this building if your group is bigger. Clean, comfortable and well equipped. The owner/manager Michael is fantastic and takes a lot of pride in this property and making your stay a good one. Beautiful area with so much to see and do. Everyone had a great time, we hope to be returning soon.
My family and I planned on visiting Duck Creek last month... But we had a massive flash flood in Las Vegas last September and were originally scheduled to come up the day of the flood but the I-15N was washed away literally. We contacted the owner of this condo and he was very helpful in rescheduling the whole trip for us this month. Thank God! Once we made it up here, the Lodge was very easy to find & plenty of parking. The Lodge is a street behind the gas station, very convenient. The Lodge was perfect for my family of 4 and 2 dogs. We stayed in the dog friendly unit & it was so clean! Beds were all very comfy, clean sheets and there's a laundry room too! Not to mention the kitchen was fully stocked. We grabbed a bite at Hot Mamma's Pizza and it didn't disappoint, very tasty! We took our Polaris out to Strawberry Point & Mammoth Caves; both a must SEE! The weather was perfect, still a few yellow leaves on some of the trees. We had an amazing time, & will be back again soon!
My family wanted to get away from the city and enjoy the outdoors a little. This was the perfect get away!! We loved the cabin! It was beautiful and cozy. Really the only suggestion I have would be to invest in some better quality sheets. The ones on the beds didn't fit well and just appeared very worn. We will most likely consider staying here again on our next trip to Duck Creek Village.
We thought the condo was very clean and cute. The only complaint we have was that we had neighbors so close and if you get unlucky like we did with teenagers partying, that can call for some sleepless nights. Also we had the top unit, which meant three flights of stairs on ice.
ATV riding in the summer, and snowmobile riding in the winter is what the Duck Creek area is known for with and extensive trail system throughout Dixie National Forest, offering views of Zion National Park, Red Canyon, Cedar Breaks National Monument, Navajo Lake, Aspen Mirror Lake and many oportunities to view mountain wildlife. Roasting marshmallows in the fire pit is an enjoyable evening pastime. The Shakespearean Festival, and many plays and festivals in Cedar City, is only a 30 mile drive down scenic State Highway 14. Disc Golf, Chili Cook Off, Duck Creek Days, Battle of the Bands and Thunder on the Mountain in and around Duck Creek Village offers many opportunities to keep your days filled with new experiences for the whole family.
