Two bedrooms sleeps six in two hotel style rooms - individually rented

The perfect place to relax and enjoy northern Michigan. SUMMER SEASON there are 4 courses available on the proberty. The Schuss side of the resort has ONLY the outdoor pool open the rest of the resort is closed this includes the indoor pool, sauna, hot tub and main lodge. WINTER SEASON The ski slopes are scheduled to open on Dec. 15th. Schuss Mountain offers 46 runs and are just 65 steps from the room. Ski in and ski out. The quad chair lift makes waiting in line a thing of the past. For the beginner there is the magic carpet lift. Rental equipment for boards and sking is available. Lessons for every ability from beginner to advanced is available daily. Extreme tubing is available at Cedar River and the shuttle bus will take you to the site. The indoor and outdoor pools, sauna and hot tub are only a one minute walk across the circle. Ivan's restaurant is across from the pools. This is a full service restaurant as well as a cafeteria style for fast food. Ivan's has a complete bar service as well. On most weekend there is a live band. Special events are scheduled every weekend.

There is a free shuttle bus that will take you to Bellaire, a small town with shops, restaurants and a movie theater. Casinos are close by in Traverse City and Petosky.

Schuss Mt Resort at Shanty Creek: There is a free shuttle bus that runs between all three of the resorts within Shanty Creek, Cedar River, Shanty Creek and Schuss Mountain. Each area offers unique ammenities and you are welcome to use all of them. In the vacinity of the resort is the town of Bellaire. The shuttle bus also takes guests to and from town at no charge. It is a charming small town with restaurants, bars, movie theather and limited but fun shopping. An indoor water park at Boyne is 20 miles away. The Grass River nature area with hiking trails is open to the public at no charge. There are casinos in Traverse City and Petotsky.

Directions: Schuss Village is easy to find just follow the signs from M-88 into the village. You will be given complete directions and the door lock code upon confirming your reservation.

Nearest Beach : 7 miles Lake Bellaire at 7 Miles

There is a free shuttle bus available to all guests. You may visit Shanty Creek, Cedar Village and Schuss Village by shuttle bus. The bus runs from early morning to late in the evening. The area has beautiful trails to explore. This is truly a family resort with activities for everyone. Please note that internet service is available in the main lodge lobby where there is comfortable furniture and a large screen TV. There is no phone service in the units. The free shuttle bus also runs to Bellaire, a quaint small town. Golf: There are 4 golf courses on the Shanty Creek,Schuss Mountain , Cedar River property

Ski: There is a 5 person quad ski lift only steps (67) from the door.with 46 runs for all abilities. Lessons are available for all ages and abilities. The hills are groomed daily. NASTAR races run on a regular basis. A great place to enjoy the snowy northern Michigan north. Children's programs with ski instruction and daycare are available.

These units may be rented separately or as one unit. They are exceptionally clean and have been recently updated. We have a no smoking and no pet policy.

Notes: Summer season: only the outdoor pool is open. Unit 146 has a dining table with 4 chairs, unit 145 has a snack bar with 4 stools. Winter season The Resort offers activities each week and a current list is available in the main lobby. Internet is also available in the main lobby where there is comfortable furniture and a fireplace. There are no telephones in these units. The units are exceptionally clean, updated and well furnished.

Condo Rental

My wife and I were able to get away for a long weekend and decided to give this condo a try. Arriving on Thursday, in the off-peak season, it felt like we had the place to ourselves. The owner offered great directions on how to get there, along with pictures.
The room was perfect for what we needed. It was extremely clean with all the amenities we could ever need. Most of the facilities were closed due to the off-season, but the outdoor pool was still open. We were also able to use the indoor pool at one of the other condos within this affiliation. That worked out well.
Even though it was the off-season, there was still plenty to see and do in this area. We even made it up to Old Mission Point to see the Lighthouse and General Store.
The location made it great for day trips to Petosky and Travers City or just seeing some of the smaller local towns.
We caught some live music at the local brewery (Shorts) and had a great breakfast in Traverse City (Happy Hog Restaurant).
I could tell that this condo is THE PLACE to be in the winter. With chair lifts literally right outside your door. During the summer, there are golf courses and parks all across the area to enjoy.
We will definitely look to stay here again if (when) we come to visit!
