Hiking, Kayaking, Fishing Activities::
The 2,366 acre Schoodic Peninsula section of Acadia National Park is only a ten minute drive away in nearby Winter Harbor and offers exceptional views of rocky coastline. Be sure to pack a picnic lunch to enjoy at Frazer Point. Picnic tables available. Bring your hiking gear and take one of several hiking trails within the park, each are just over a mile long (Schoodic Head Trail, Anvil Trail, Alder Trail or East Trail).
Nearby Jones Pond (467 acre lake) in Gouldsboro has a public boat launch, swimming and picnic area or try your luck at fishing. Pedal boat & canoes are available for rent or bring your own boat for lake cruising/fishing.
Local kayak rentals and guided tours available. Launch your kayak from Frazer Point & other areas.
Visit Acadia National Park on Mt Desert Island, 45 minutes away. Plan a stopover at Jordan Pond House Restaurant and order some tea & popovers to enjoy while taking in the view of Jordan Pond and the North & South Bubble. Take a 1 mile loop hike.
