To be active: walking in the woods, looking for mussels by the sea, playing golf and enjoy trying new french recipes. This old farm house has been completely restored and is situated above the market town of St Sever and boarding the large state forest. All our apartments are well equipped, easy to run, and comfortable so it is easy to feel home. In the spacious grounds, you can have a barbecue and play boules.

St. Sever is near many of the well known sites of Normandy, such as Mount St. Michel, the Normandy Beaches and the Bayeux Tapestry. It is also possible to take a day trip to the Channel Islands from the port of Granville. St. Sever has got many shops, a super market, a market each Saturday and an interesting 13th century church. In the region there are a lot of things to do: walking in the bordering forest, horse riding, fishing, enjoy the famous local cuisine, going to the sea to swim or look for mussels some 25 miles away, cycling or playing golf.

Golf: There is a beautiful and interesting 9-hole course, Vire La Dathée, only 6 miles away, situated above a lake. Players of all standards can have a great day at very reasonable prices; we are within 30 miles of 5 of the 37 Normandy golf courses including the links course of Granville.

A very beautiful place to stay, comfortable and within easy reach of many interesting places. Good walking in the forest.
Marlies the owner is kindness itself and we very much enjoyed her company.
St Sever is an attractive small town which provides everyday needs and has several bars and a fine church.
Beauregard itself is peaceful, we saw many varieties of birds and there is a lovely view west from the terrace.
Definitely worth a visit, to unwind or as a base for exploring Normandy.

Beyond all expectations

We stayed here for a week to see Normandy, it was a good starting point for day trips. The house, which is a renovated farmhouse, is very beautiful close to nature on top of a hill where you see Saint-Sever-Calvados center. The owner is very nice!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Paradise

We went to spend 2 weeks in Beauregard after a very hard winter in Finland, but we didn´t want to leave that beautiful place, so we stayed there for 4 weeks and we are going back there for the next winter, at least for 5 months, hopefully for 7 months.
The house and the garden are beautiful, everything in Beauregard is just what we wanted to find. Our landlady and her cats were charming and we really enjoyed their company.
The village St. Severe and the nearest town Vire gave us everything we needed daily, but the sightseeing trips to Avranches, Mont St. Michel, Granville, Omaha Beach, Ste Mere Eglise, Pegasus Bridge etc. were full of adventure from the past.
So, I really can recommend Beauregard (and I have done it, all my friends and relatives in Finland know that there is a paradise called Beauregard in Normandy) with my not so very good english...
