Accommodation Details:
Everything you need to call Shining Shores home is included in your stay. Linens, dishes, TV with DVD/VCR in great room, an additional TV for gaming in the lower level rec-room, AM/FM/CD Stereo, microwave, telephone with local calling, stove, refrigerator, toaster, and coffee maker are all on-site. Also provided are a washer/dryer, charcoal grills and patio furniture, and a campfire pit. Guests may need to purchase additional paper products and personal care items during the course of the vacation. Firewood is not provided, but may be purchased locally.

Shining Shores is a short drive to sandy beaches - Rogers Park near Manistique or Fayette State Park near Garden. Or, swim on the premises (rocky bottom) with water shoes and floaties. Close to Fayette State Park, Kitch-iti-kipi, and Kewadin Casino in Manistique. About an hour or so away, you'll find Tahquamenon Falls and Pictured Rocks National Lake Shore. Mackinaw Island is about a two-hour drive.
You won't want to miss out on local fish frys any night of the week at Rosie's at Tylene's, D&J's, Sidetracks, Mac's Bar or Three-Mile Supper Club, all within 15-30 minutes. Or, arrange a charter on Big Bay de Noc and fry fish you caught yourself! (Big Bay de Noc Charters 906-450-0633) Plan your vacation to enjoy the local 4th of July festivities, Fayette Heritage Days (early August), various music festivals (throughout summer in Manistique), art fairs, corn roasts (third weekend in August in Cooks), and strawberry festivals (mid-July). And be sure to attend the UP State Fair in August!
